Fitting within Atomic's lightweight Backland touring line, the Backland Tour Binding with Leash is a solid tech offering that's ideal for big mountaineering missions and long-haul days finding the best snow in the backcountry.

The Backland Tour Binding isn't a radical departure from classic tech bindings—its pin-style toe piece is fitted with a step-in assist system to reduce the amount of time you spend fiddling with your gear during transitions. The toe piece also features an expanded mounting pattern to drive more power to the ski and enhance binding retention for a more secure feel while skiing variable conditions in the alpine. The rear heel piece has two heel risers to adapt to undulating terrain, and it has 30 millimeters of sole length adjustability—which is longer than most pin bindings—to accommodate different boot sole lengths. The Backland is also ski crampon compatible for when you need a little extra bite when touring up icy snow.
