Quench your thirst for tall snowy peaks with your Atomic Backland 78 Skis and Skins underfoot. These sticks are the lightest ski in Atomic's Adventure Touring series, ready for multi-day traverses and ambitious day missions. The 78mm waist is definitely uphill-oriented, designed to please weight-savvy recreationalists who have an affinity for chowing down on vert.
The poplar and caruba wood core contributes to the featherlight design, with a smooth and consistent flex that doesn't compromise downhill performance. That's not to say these are what you'll want underneath you while you harvest deep, storm day pow, but camber underfoot and sidewalls keep you stable and secure while you're ripping turns down a steep, corn-filled couloir come springtime. The 100% Mohair PreFit skins are already cut to your skis, so you've got one less step standing between you and the wide open skin track.
