Serrate Snowshoe

With aggressive traction and precision fit, the Atlas Serrate Snowshoe is designed to take you deeper and further into the backcountry. Its combination of Zodiac Toe Crampons at the front and Stabilock Rear Traction at the back, you'll be walking confidently across icy terrain. The Spring-Loaded Suspension and the Wrapp Pro Bindings keep your feet securely supported in the Serrate and lets your foot flex naturally side-to-side for a comfortable and stable position across uneven terrain.

Aside from traction and precision fit, the Serrate is equipped with several other features to keep you comfortable and efficient while you explore the winter landscape. Heel Lift Bars help reduce calf muscle fatigue by matching your foot to the slope angle so you can wander longer and farther. Great workhorse snowshoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was on the fence between these and the MSR lightening ascents. I couldn't find many reviews of these which caused a little hesitation but I'm glad I took a chance with these. 2 things tipped the scales for me: bindings and price. I tried the MSRs on at a nearby REI and didn't care for the 3 strap binding. I have very high arches and run year round and the tops of my feet don'€™t like heavy straight down pressure. My old Yukon Charlies had bindings like that and were uncomfortable after a couple hours. When I saw how this system distributed pressure evenly throughout the top of the foot I was sold. One thing I didn'€™t realize was how much I'€™d like the floating system. Although they feel firmly fixed to your feet when the binding is synced down, your foot floats using this system. If your on a steep side hill your ankle doesn't need to adjust to the slope. Great system that will save my ankles in the long run. Once the binding's are on and tightened, there's no lateral heel movement whatsoever. The crampons are amazing and dig into any icy or snowy surface aggressively to keep you firmly planted. I got the 35" size which floats very well on loose powder (I'm 6'2" and 210 lbs). As far as price, I got them on sale here for 25% off. Final observation: was shocked at how light these were. When the box showed up in the mail, I thought they'd made a mistake and only shipped 1 based on the weight. Love these and look forward to the next round of snow!
