Moon VT Racing Saddle
The Moon VT is engineered with features similar to its counterpart, the Starline VT, and the result is a dynamic racing saddle that delivers in the areas of comfort and performance. This saddle was made with racing in mind, and that's why it outperforms in energy conservation and vibration reduction. This saddle is similar to the Starline VT in its rounded shape, memory foam, and microfiber construction. Both saddles have cutouts to ensure lasting comfort, but they differ in the construction of their rails. The Starline VT features a 7 x 7 millimeter titanium rail, and the Moon VT is designed with a 7 x 9 millimeter carbon rail, which resists flexibility and increases energy conservation on climbs. An anti-vibration full carbon twin shell is the Moon's secret to dampening harsh road vibrations. This self-supporting design reduces vibrations and reinforces the construction of the saddle. With the optimal combination of saddle weight, shock absorption and stiffness designed for racing, the Moon VT Racing Saddle is primarily for riders looking for quality performance with enduring comfort.

The VT had some pretty big shoes to fill. After years of riding and thoroughly enjoying every mile in a Specialized Saddle, sadly I had to replace it after I broke the carbon rail on a fall. ( U-turn on a tight street, hit a patch of sand. crash!) Initially I tried a FIZIX saddle, but it just wasn't the right fit for me personally, so I returned it. Now the VT, first off it is hand made in Italy,, something about that statement alone, as I think of hand crafted Italian shoes, or a suit, Italian sports cars, etc., so I thought this may add some "pizzazz " to my bike. It is a sweet looking saddle I selected the black and red, to match my DT SWISS hubs and red bar tape. It is super light and looks to be well made. COMFORTABLE, COMFORTABLE !! Did I say COMFORTABLE? I did a 102 mile ride, a couple 50 mile rides and living in Southern Ca, lots of climbing most recently 42 miles with 3800 elevation, the VT just absorbs the road vibration, has good power transfer, in my opinion its truly an all day saddle. I just don't have anything negative to say about it. In fact I am so pleased with it I just ordered the VT Mudline for my mountain bike. If you are looking to upgrade or replace your saddle, consider treating your tushy to the VT.
