Linda Personal Flotation Device

You've gained some paddling confidence but your decades-old PFD makes moving painful. Ditch the ancient, army-green vest in favor of the Astral Buoyancy Linda Personal Flotation Device. Large arm holes leave ample room to brandish your paddle from any angle, and the back rises high enough to save your scapulae from high-backed kayak seats. This buoyant baby is specifically engineered to keep your XX silhouette comfortable whether you're SUP-ing 'round the pond or taking your recreational 'yak out for an all-day paddle n' picnic.

This fun-loving USCG-certified PFD provides 16 pounds of float and prefers touring lake caves in a canoe or a leisurely afternoon paddle in a 'yak (look elsewhere for a PFD for whitewater). Rugged 200D nylon won't shirk from wayward paddles or touchy-feely tree limbs. The inner mesh lining isn't meek when it comes to keeping you cool. A skinny strip of mesh runs midway down the center of your back to give paddle-produced perspiration an obvious escape route while letting fresh air swirl around your shoulder blades.

The women-specific design takes articulated foam panels and carefully contours them around your torso for maximum comfort without sacrificing safety. Polypro webbing at the shoulders and sides lets you customize the fit with a few simple tugs. Shaped for a lady but buoyant enough for a man, the adjustable straps let the Linda fit a wide range of body types easily, safely, and comfortably. Two large pleated pockets easily hold your camera, lip balm, and a baggie of snacks (which you don't have to share).

  • Sleek design and comfortable features define this rec PFD
  • Robust 200D nylon holds up through rough wear and tear
  • Articulated foam panels conform to your body for comfort
  • Polypro webbing at shoulders and sides help customize the fit
  • Thin mesh strip along the spine helps you stay cool on hot days

Great, but no waterproof pockets

Very comfortable and I would recommend but if you are planning on putting your phone in the front pocket as I was, know that it is lined with mesh. This is not visible in the photo.

I've put it through the wringer
True to size

Not bulky, full range of arm motion, very comfortable while paddling and as flattering as a PFD is going to get . I'm very happy with this purchase .

Light weight and great pockets

I've used it several times

I use this PFD for SUP'ing. Love how light weight and not bulky it is - it's easy to forget you're wearing one. Great colors to choose from and great pockets for snacks along the way. Would recommend!

Great fit

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I haven’t had a chance to use it to speak of it’s function there but out of the box the fit is very comfy and gives a lot of room to move freely around my arms. I think this will be great for paddling.

Sleek and effective

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I borrowed this jacket to let my girlfriend use it. It fit well (she is 5'8" 140lbs, average chest) in the S/M size. It has convenient zip pockets on it, and a really nice light blue color to it.

Good first impressions!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My gf demo'ed this product and have some feedback. We didn't get to test this when wet because we stayed on our SUPs for once. The profile is slim, build quality seems solid, and the pockets are a pretty great change from our PFDs that don't have any. The sizing lined up with the size chart for her! The color really looks good out on the river/lake too. Update: Performs as expected when in water. Floated around and drank a few beers comfortably.
