Trail FF Gloves

Battle fatigue, but let your skin breathe with Assos' Trail FF Gloves. These breathable mitts offer 3D mesh uppers that elevate moisture management by actively pulling perspiration away from your skin, and letting fresh air in. The palm continues with 3D mesh, aiding in breathability, but bringing in the reinforcement with light, perforated padding, topped with synthetic leather to hold up to rough bars. The perforated padding is strategically placed to targeted areas that get the most abuse from jarring trails, aiding in vibration damping to reduce fatigue on long rides. Assos' designers have never been known to skimp on the tech, so they craft the Trail FF gloves with a 3D structure in mind, curving them as needed to mimic the anatomical structure of your hand as it grips the bars, increasing comfort, and reducing bulk where you don't need it.

  • Full-finger protection with precise design
  • 3D structure contours fabrics to hand's anatomy
  • Breathable fabrics wick away moisture and dry
  • Perforated padding on palm damps trail chatter
  • Flexible cuff molds to your wrist for a seamless fit

These gloves seem to be made well, and the material choices are fantastic, as one would expect from ASSOS. However, the disappointment comes when you put them on to your hands. Size is consistent with other mfgs and is not the issue with fitment. The issue with fitment is the actual construction of the gloves: - Without a velcro closure, the glove is made very long and would cover the cuff of a long sleeve shirt. This is aesthetically disappointing and makes for fabric bunching. - The lack of structure on the back of the hand makes the palm bunchy when not clenched tightly. - The fingers themselves have a loose, baggy feel, rather than a slim, skin tight fit.

Cooler than they appear

When I first got these things in my hand I was convinced they were a winter riding glove. To the touch, they felt thicker than your average summer hand helmets (gloves), but after the first few rides, I can honestly say they have impressed me a lot with their comfort and breathability. I had very little of my normal palm juice (sweat) and didn't feel like I had to take them off at every stop like some of my other thicker style gloves. I took one small fall straight to my hand and both the gloves and I walked away unscathed. The only problem I found was that one of the seams tended to get in the way of my braking fingers and cause minimal discomfort. I would recommend these gloves to anyone wanting a very comfortable glove with a little more protection than your standard summer threads.
