summerBootie_S7

Whether you're hiding an ugly pair of sale-bought shoes, or gaining an aerodynamic advantage for the time trial, the Assos summerBootie S7 is the cover of choice. Used by everyone from Fabian Cancellara to the Swiss national track team, the summerBootie S7 offers a lightweight aerodynamic advantage over the long haul.

The summerBootie S7s are deceivingly simple. The design features one-panel Lycra wrapped around a shoe form. The seam runs from the top of the toe to the front of the ankle. The Lycra is malleable and requires no zipper to achieve a snug fit. The summerBootie S7 has apertures for both the heel and cleat, and are reinforced with an extra layer of lycra.

Assos recommends usage of the summerBootie S7 between the temperatures of 71 and 89 degrees. Please note that these covers are not rain proof, and are strictly for aerodynamic use.

The Assos summerBootie S7 is available in sizes I (38-42) and II (43-46), and in colors Black and White.

It's a bootie

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

Works very well in keeping road grime off of your shoe. This thing gives you the option of not having to clean your shoe. I actually found it useful for XC or gravel riding where things get pretty dirty.

I ordered these in my shoe size, but they are impossible to put on with a cycling shoe on, for the price, they should have a zipper. Perhaps you are supposed to put these on, then the socks and shoes, then slide them down into the shoe. Nah....

Yes, that’s how you put them on. Pull them up over your socks, then work the heel down into place, and lastly, slip the toe and cleat opening into position. Remove in reverse order. Easy peasy.

I have this bootie in the white version. As someone commented below, you put it on and slide up, then put shoes on and just slide back down over top of your shoes. Super simple, very easy to do and they have served me well.. I would buy another pair.

I did the same thing! I had to return them as well. I pretty disappointed
