Planned Obsolescence or Incompetance?

These shorts have a very flimsy elastic leg band that snags on EVERYTHING! The shorts fit great, I like the light weight annd comfortable chamois, and are true to size…BUT the elastic leg bands wears out quickly. They look like rags now that I have worn them a few times. I have to think that Assos has the technology and experience to know what they are doing. Is putting disposable products out like this really helping their rand??
