It Actually Works

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Finally, a summer base layer that actually works! This product is absurdly expensive, but it does what a summer base layer is supposed to do, it works like a radiator on a (gas powered) car. Meaning, it keeps you cooler on hot climbs by pulling the moisture away from your body and providing evaporative cooling, and dries extremely fast to provide insulation (warmth) on descents. I live in CO and these attributes are very important. I've always bought into the Assos layering system and tried many versions of their base layers for summer rides. This is the first and only product that actually does what the Assos layering system advertises. The theory is great but if the materials don't actually provide the cooling and insulation, it's just a way to be overheated climbing and cold descending. I use this product on every ride, even in the winter. For fit, go with smaller, it's a very stretchy material, to get the next to skin fit.
