    Happy Dogs.

Because no one enjoys cold feet on winter rides, go with Assos' BonkaSock_evo8 and experience its warmest cycling socks. Constructed from a mixture of selected merino wool yarns that absorb moisture, they’ll keep your dogs happy and dry even in the coldest weather. Right and left foot specific socks help promote blood circulation and prevent heat loss. The tall cuff provides increased coverage and greater insulation.

Assos recommends pairing with toe covers to block cold air from reaching your feet, or full overshoes for the highest level of protection.

    • Assos' warmest socks for winter cycling
    • Wool construction insulates against cold drafts
    • Crew cuff eliminates ankle gaps and shoe cover irritation

    New Boka Sox

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: 43-46
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 180lbs

I was a bit skeptical on this sock versus my favorite - the older fugu socks, but this one is an update on the fugu. The thickest part of the sock is the toe area and it gets progressively thinner as you move towards the ankle. The socks feel great and since they are not a constant thickness, they are easier to pull on your feet and they also prove that you need the most protection near the toes - your shoes will most likely fit better with this style as well. They are also far less expensive than the fugu sock - mostly likely due to about half the merino wool required to make them

    Assos gets it right

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

The first time you ride in the cold, you probably put on a pair of relatively thick thermal socks and jam your feet into your cycling shoes. I did. Then you wonder why your feet are so cold. The answer is that the thick socks cut off or reduce the warm blood supply to your toes. Assos solves this by cutting the socks for each foot and making the sock thin (like your summer socks) over the arch and heel area while making the toe section thicker and more insulating. The result is a sock that keeps your feet warm by not interrupting the blood supply to your toes. Recommended. Ordering another pair or two.
