This is the second pair of these boots I have owned, and they have treated me very, very well. I primarily use them for hunting, as well as general hiking, and outdoor pursuits. I've taken them sheep hunting in the Brooks Range in Alaska three times, putting 8-10 miles and several thousand feet of elevation per day. Plus numerous deer, mountain goat, elk, etc. hunts each year. I've virtually never had blister issues or discomfort. I use a Superfeet insole in them and couldn't be happier. After several years of the first pair the soles were completely shot, which I felt was reasonable given how hard I used them and how much hiking I did on rough rock. I felt the boot served me more than well...so good I bought a second pair. The second pair has served me equally well. My only critique is I think the boot begins to leak sooner than it should. Perhaps its me and my (over) use, or perhaps its a fair critique of the boot. Tough call. That said, if you are looking for a general hiking boot that is good for backpacking on trails and in the backcountry this is a great boot. If you pursue more rigorous activities in the backcountry, this boot will also serve you well.
