Odd Look

I returned this product before using it

I returned them because of the style which I did not fully appreciate in the side photos. The longer lacing toward the toe reminded me of bowling shoes.

Hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I have been wearing these as a street shoe for a few months now and don't doubt that they could handle anything I could throw at them in the mountains. If you're in the market save your time a just buy this shoe.

I've owned countless hiking shoes in the past and these rank towards the top as far as comfort and styling. To be fair I've only had these shoes for a month or so, but I'm already impressed with the feel as they hug my feet quite nicely due to the lace to toe design. I've read some complaints about the lacing being too thin and not staying tied, but I've found that a double loop before the bow works just fine.....besides I think the thin lacing adds to the looks of the shoe. I did have some minor stitching issues on my first pair which I debated even calling about, but Backcountry sent me a new pair guilt free. Backcountry will be my first choice in outdoor gear based on customer service. I normally wear a size 9.5 -10 and wound up getting the 10's, which were slightly big... a aftermarket insole made the fit perfect. Overall a great shoes, can't go wrong especially if you can get them on sale....besides it's the first pair of hiking shoes my wife hasn't complained about the looks!!
