Fugitive GTX Hiking Boot
Just like infamous bank robbers of the Wild West, escape from civilized society to remote wilderness depths with the Asolo Men's Fugitive GTX Wide Hiking Boot. Propelling you further into the backcountry, this supportive hiking boot offers an optimal balance of waterproof protection and aggressive traction. Gore-Tex Performance Comfort completely seals out moisture when raging storms threaten to leave your feet cold and damp. This construction is more breathable than standard Gore-Tex, meaning your feet won't sweat excessively in warm weather.
Durable suede and high-tenacity nylon uppers ensure longevity from the bumps, scrapes, and abrasion you'll experience on the trail, with a rubber toe cap for extra reinforcement. This particular version is designed for hikers packing wider feet that normally have to uncomfortably squeeze into the tight spaces of regular boots. To ensure plentiful traction, the Asolo Syncro sole grips aggressively across everything from rocky outcroppings to loamy forest soil.

Backcountry's service and shipping were fantastic. Boot is/was gorgeous (or was until I began putting miles on them). Great fit. Great ankle support. I simply refrain from giving it a perfect 5 because Asolo has a better boot and I own better boots. Not a boot for wet or muddy trails. Absolutely not the best for getting silly off trail. If its your style to wear hiking boots to pick up chicks, this is your boot, Mr SmellGood

These are my 2nd pair of Asolo fugitives, the 1st pair I waited too long to have resoled and I was told they were too worn on the sidewall😕. The boots are very sturdy and for that seem to take a bit longer to break in but once they do they're wonderful. I enjoy the large gusseted tongue for easy slip on and off at the end of the day. I have custom molded inserts that make them a perfect fit ( my ankles supernate and wearout my shoes rather quickly) The wide fit is perfect for my Flintstone feet and still lets me tighten the boots properly. All in all these are by far my best choice and I've worn many brands over the years.

Went to these from Solomon's wanting to try something new. They had stitching come out almost immediately so I returned them on warranty. Got a second pair and they unstitched even worse. And where they unstitched would gather and hold dirt and dust. I finally just went and bought another pair of Solomon's. Also worth noting they aren't near as comfortable as the solomons.

Fugitive GTX wide. Boots 4 us old hikers

Purchased these several months ago based on numerous favorable reviews. Currently wear them 3-4 days a week in urban setting but out pacing off buildings or at construction sites with rough terrain. All I can say is the reviews are correct! REALLY comfortable boots and seem durable as well. I also wear Salomon Quest 4D II and they are great but these are better. Hard to find quality wide boots and reality is my foot is wider in old age. Both brands are the same size and length is the same but width in arch area and some in the toe box make the Fugitive my "go to" boots if I know there will be miles of walking that day. It is a shame that they only make them in one color but I am not complaining. Hard to find a well made high quality hiking/backpacking boot in wide size. If wide is what you need then this is it!!
