    Squeeze in a post-work hike.

Casually styled, the Asolo Men's Borealis Shoe is still up for a quick hike if you need some outdoors time after a long day at the office. Its Vibram art. sole has enough traction for non-technical trails, and the anatomic footbed works with the cushy, dual-density, microporous midsole to ensure comfort on the trail. The soft suede upper and smooth Velveteen lining make this shoe appropriate for any day around town.

    Classy sneaks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Bought these to be my new everyday footwear.

I love the materials used in this shoe. The construction and stitching are top-notch. The toe and heel areas are semi-reinforced which means they should be able to take more abuse than your average daily driver shoe. The tread lugs are much more aggressive than any other sneaker I've seen, which is probably why these are described as a casually-styled hiking shoe. If you live in a city with a lot of rain or snow I'm sure this will show.

My girlfriend (who doesn't like the look of technical outwear) gave these the stamp of approval, so there's a win right there.

The only issue I had was the insole was actually slipping against the top of the midsole (just like my other Asolo shoes). Nothing a little duct tape won't fix but strange nonetheless.
