Arva's Calgary 22L Backpack brings the essentials needed for quick backcountry tours like dawn patrols or a quick boot up a couloir. Its 22L capacity is the second-smallest ski pack that Arva makes, and it has just enough room for your avy gear, some water, and maybe an extra layer or two. Comfort comes from the wide, ergonomic hip and shoulder straps, and options for diagonal or vertical ski carry keep you moving with or without snow under your feet. This pack is hydration-compatible to keep your water accessible, and the hip pocket keeps light snacks or energy gels on hand.

Aesthetic's are Important
I've been looking for a lightweight ski pack to get started on my ski touring hobby. I went with a unique touring setup so i needed some unique features in a pack to make it all work. The intuitive storage design, super lightweight yet durable fabrics, a strap design and vented back panel to keep me comfortable make this pack great for shorter day tours with lots of flexibility. if you need a pack to carry everything you would need for extended tours into the backcountry you may want to go a little bigger than the 22L we have here and luckily Arva makes a larger Calgary for just that purpose but for me light and fast was a key focus of my touring goals. I demo'd the Dekine Poacher and it felt very similar to this pack but this Arva design feels a bit more refined for my needs and it fits my Mammut Alugator Pro shovel just barely. I will add more updates to this review as the season progresses so if you want to know more just check back in later and I will have posted more information.
