Hybrid Construction combines different materials, specifically ABS plastic and foam (EPP and EPS), to create a helmet that is both lightweight and strong. This design ensures maximum protection for your head while keeping the helmet comfortable for long periods of wear, making it ideal for climbing and other outdoor activities.
Super comfy, fits great, very light. Used outside, for both ice and regular climbing. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Comfortable with Great Fit across broad range of head sizes. Perfect for everything from outdoor single pitch to alpine. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Very comfortable, light and does not heat up your head. I just used it to hike Middle Teton, the last part ot the trail and thankfully no falling rocks kicked by other hikers.
Great value and great fit for my teenage boys. I purchased them for a via feratta trip that we took. Perfect for that and for climbing with their friends here in Colorado. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
I work full time in a harness and require a climbing helmet. The helmets have to be high-vis red or orange. This was perfect for what I need. Great for year round use, lots of adjustment room for different seasons and layers!! I have taken minor side and axial hits during working hours and it has protected me from what could be a serious injury! Highly recommend this helmet ! Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
This helmet was comfortable and fit a variety of head sizes. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
This is the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. I have a huge noggin and this handles it no problem. Easy to adjust and store. Looks great while wearing and stream lined enough that you do not look like an egg head. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Purchased this climbing helmet for my two daughters to share. Easy adjustment, universal fit, no complaints. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Best helmet in the game. Super light, fits well, and you forget it's there. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
First just a huge fan of Mammoth stuff. Great gear, high quality and has a good look to it. This is a good helmet for climbing, biking, and honestly if you aren't worried about fashion on the jobsite can get away with it on some low key sites. The chin strap gets you points with the safety crew. But note it is not TYPE 2, so no help on that. Just type 1 and EN 12492. All good and Mammoth keep making cool stuff! Seemed to sit a little back. But overall worked and served its purpose. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Well-made, comfortable, and affordable. Easy to adjust size and chin strap. Easy to mount action cameras on the helmet. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
This helmet has a much better fit and overall feel than the BD half dome. vents great as well and looks amazing. I have taken many whippers and this has always protected me well. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
I bought this helmet on a whim. I made a quick trip to Southern Utah and forgot my helmet. I ran into a local climbing shop the morning of my adventure, tried on every helmet they had and this one was the obvious choice. It's the most comfortable and secure feeling helmet I've worn in 10+ years of climbing. My trusty helmet at home will now be a backup for friends, because I can't NOT wear this one after wearing it once. The chin buckle is simple, it feels weightless on, and the purple color is so cute. I'd highly recommend. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Keeps my head protected on my climbs on 14ers in colorado! Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
This Helmand is the best bang for your buck it’s a great starter helmet if your not worried about weight and very adjustable Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
The helmet is light and pretty comfortable to wear. I have a big head and the adjustability is nice. Unsure on durability as I haven't used it yet due to canceled trips. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Great for a beginner! This helmet has protected me from falling rocks while climbing while feeling so comfortable. I usually have issues with adjusting helmets to fit my head properly, and I love how this one is so easy to adjust. Better yet, it didn't cost much too. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
I have taken this helmet out a couple times, the fit is perfect, when I'm cruxing I can forget that the helmet is even there, great style, I cannot say is durable yet, a little in the heavy side but for the price, no complaints Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Great helmet very comfortable for rock climbing or caving
Good lightweight helmet. So far used it on an April attempt of Mt Baker, and it worked well with a balaclava and goggles in whiteout conditions. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Helmets like gloves are a complete crap shoot when it comes to sizing and this one fits great! The one-size-fits-all features a nice boa dial to let you...well, dial it in. You have plenty of room underneath for a beanie or soft cap. Luckily, I have not had to test it! Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
It's good. Seemingly standard solid light well fitting basic helmet. Nothing super fancy, just kind of a go to "it works" helmet. The fit adjust works well. I had to move the shin strap join passthroughs quite a bit forward to make them fit over my ears well, but now they are great. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Very comfortable helmet, and nice color options. It is a one-size helmet, which means there's a large range for head sizes, which is convenient. My spouse has a large head, and this is the only helmet that can fit him without it hurting on the sides of his head. Other brands L/XL sized helmets are still too tight on his head, and we found this to be the only one that worked well. The downside for me is that I have a smaller head. It still fits well, but I have to tighten it so much, and it leaves an awkward-looking gap from the back of the head to the back of the helmet. This could be solved by having a smaller range of sizing, but then it would defeat the purpose of this being a one-sized product. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Comfortable. Affordable. Lightweight. Adjustable. AND it protects my limited remaining braincells. Ideal.
It's a climbing helmet, the adjustment is adequate and it fit snugly despite me having a bit of an odd shaped head from what I've found. There truthfully isn't much to say beyond that .I'm sure there are better helmets, but for the price I can only think of one thing to moan about, that being the chinstrap sits a bit far back on me. I've managed to get it into a place that isn't uncomfortable, but I haven't managed to get comfortable enough to cinch tight to have the helmet properly on my head with no risk of it moving out of place. One of the most basic helmets. Does what it is supposed to, just does not last long. Have not had it for a year, and the adjustor in back is broken already. The foam padding started coming out shortly after using it. I would still recommend as a beginner helmet, just as a placeholder until another helmet is acquired. More plastic than I would like. Definitely don't love having it on but provides safety nonetheless. Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
Protects the noggin, but the head wiggle and bulky aspects detract. Go with a more snug, lighter half-hard/half-foam style helmet instead (e.g. MAMMUT Wall Rider or BD Vision) Originally reviewed on ExpertVoice.com
