I'm just getting into climbing, but these shoes work very well for me. They're tight but not uncomfortable and allow for some good traction on the rock face. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I’m new to climbing and I spent my first days in these shoes. It was a big move to trust that they’d stick to the rock. They did! I am very impressed by their performance. The shoes fit my narrow foot very well and I did not feel any pinching or irritating that I was told to expect. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Shoes are very comfortable. The padding is just the right amount of comfort before losing support. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Very comfortable and true to street size I would definitely order them again Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Hadn’t bough new shoes in years… These came so fast, and great quality and style too. Been climbing every other days with them! Obsessed. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
they are a nice climbing gym shoe and last a long time Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
The Momentum’s are my first climbing shoe ever, I’ve just used rentals for the little bit I’ve been climbing, but I can already tell a difference in my confidence! I trust them a lot more and they feel so much more comfortable! I bought my street size, I think I could have gone down half a size, but they feel great! Also buying them online was super simple and easy! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I bought these for my dad for Christmas and we are thrilled! They are the perfect fit, the quality is excellent, and they’re the perfect shoe to introduce him to climbing. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
They fit great and my climbing has really improved! I will not go back to another brand. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Looks good, feels good, works good. Aside from it running snug (will size up), I intend on getting this shoe again when they are in stock! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I’ve been struggling with climbing shoes for years, as I often get blisters on my toes. These are the first pair that I don’t have to tape 6/10 toes for protection and I’m in love! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I loved climbing with these. Compared to street shoes they make a HUGE difference. I like the color scheme, and the two loops on the heel are great for putting on the shoes and taking them off. As a size 10-11 Asics street shoe, the size 11 was a little too large. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Bought these in men's 9.5 for cracks and chill climbs. First time using them was an entire day on sandstone, toes didn't hurt, snug where it needed to be, grippy. Wear men's 10 in running shoes for those looking for help w shoe sizing. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
These shoes are a great pair for beginners and intermediate climbers in the gym. They’re super grippy and good for bouldering. I ordered a 1/2 size larger but would recommend ordering your street size or even 1/2 a size smaller as I have some room in the toes. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Fit well. sized up to 13.5 from 13 street shoes due to square toe box on my foot. Comfortable, snug. Cheap for good quality! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I wear 10.5 in casual shoes, and went with the same in these. They were a little tight for the first 2 weeks, but they're breaking in now and less painful. The construction is good, the lace length is good, and the sole has been grippy enough for the gym. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I am new to Climbing and needed a shoe that wasn't gonna break the bank and would fit my wider foot and this shoe does that perfectly. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
They're pretty good for beginner shoes and the grip feels more comfortable than rental shoes Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Amazing shoes for the price. Super comfortable and stylish to. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I’m a new climber, but the rental shoes at my local rock wall were killing my feet. I picked these up and just tried them out on my local wall about 20 minutes ago. Night and day difference on my feet and my ability to get into position. I highly recommend these to someone new who wants their own gear. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Comfortable easy to wear shoe. The lace up version provides for an adjustable fit, no pressure spots after 3-4 hrs boldering. The grip was solid and I have confidence in they will stick when i need them to. Overall it is a great casual boldering beginner shoe, Comfortable and "grippy". After renting crappy rock gym shoes I bought these Momentum Lace Ups. They rock. great traction, the laces mold to your feet and they are a confidence booster. They are what they are designed for. Happy with purchase Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I am a begginer and these are perfect. Size chart was very accurate, I recommend it! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Bought them to replace my velcro shoes after they broke, laces work much better keeping the shoe tight to my feet and feel sturdier Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I have been climbing for about 6 months, and just bought these as my first pair of shoes about a month ago. They fit perfectly, have a great hold on the wall (I pretty much only do indoor climbing right now), and look nice. Not sure how they compare to other shoes, but I like them a lot for myself! Would reccommend. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Little tight but are forming nice to the fit. True to size Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
My first pair of climbing shoes and I’m happy I choose Black Diamond. Super comfortable, felt like they were broken in. Almost like a rubber sock😊 Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Love these shoes, my roommate had the Velcro ones and I loved them, but I ended up ordering the laced ones, and I am not disappointed. They have a great customizable fit all the way down the foot, the knit material is breathable and fits the foot perfect. Great all around shoe. Can keep them on for long bouldering or climbing sessions and no hot spots so far. Love the shoe, love BD. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
This gear is awesome! Fits great and looks super cool as well. Buy it :) Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Fit true to size, very comfortable and provide exceptional traction. Highly recommend Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Great beginner shoes! Durable and a very easy break in process. Great if are just getting into rock climbing! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
6 years of climbing still haven't found a better shoe. If black diamond discontinues these I don't know what I'd switch to. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Fit well, like the laces because you can adjust the tightness over the hole foot Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Very neutral shoe. Love the fit. Bought my original shoe size Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Loving my new climbing shoes. I wear a 10-10.5 street shoe and went with the 11.5. Could probably have gotten away with an 11 but as a casual climber I appreciate the comfort. No complaints so far Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Fantastically built shoes. Note that I ordered my street shoe size after reading a handful of reviews, and the shoes are far too small, so I'm in the process of returning them for a size up. Otherwise, I was able to use them adequately three times though my feet felt truly squished. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Great neutral climbing shoe. Comfortable for all day wear. Breathable in hot conditions. This will be my third pair and I’ve come to prefer the laced version. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Bought these for my son who is getting into climbing the kid says the fit perfectly
Ordered these as I’m a size 14 and difficult to find shoes in person. Fit well and I like the look Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Very tight knots required on laces due to the shape of them, otherwise they will untie often. Other than that, great shoes with a tight fit and not-too-dramatic downturn. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Good construction a solid neutral shoe great for multi pitch. Quality seems good so far. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
Very good shoes but what a smell. Is it possible to wash them? Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
The laces do a very good job of forming the shoe around your foot and the rubber on the shoe sticks to anything, making it easy to stay on the wall. This is the first climbing shoe that i have tried and i am very pleased with it! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I burn through gym shoes quicker than others…. So these are perfect! Not for your overhung outdoor project, but definitely good enough for some 5.11 gym routes Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I got these shoes for comfy all- day shoes. I like them, but theybare tighter than i was expecting. It seems like BD sizing is closer to street shoe sizing than other brands I've tried. Ive usually gotten climbing shoes a size or two smaller than my street shoes but in BDs Im learning to size closer (or for comfy shoes even equal) to my street shoe size. Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
I have big feet and the laces definetly made a major difference in the comfort I feel while climbing in the shoes! Originally reviewed on blackdiamondequipment.com
