Why We Like the Armada Stranger Ski

We aren't in charge of the weather, so unfortunately it doesn't snow every night. When it hasn't snowed for days we trust the Armada Stranger Ski to keep the firm conditions fun. The 100mm waist handles refrozen crud and icy groomers alike, while the short turn radius encourages us to arc beautiful turns down long runs.

Great skis!

I bought these just before Christmas as a gift to myself... I definitely have no regrets about the skis. On edge, they are super stable while still being super poppy and fun. The springboard tail makes for some fun jibbing and manuals all over the hill. I've been able to ski these in a variety of conditions, from some nice soft stuff closer to Christmas to pouring rain and slush yesterday; they handled it all great! a welcome addition to the quiver. Sometimes the softer flex does cause the tail to wash out, mainly in those super wet and slushy conditions when you're really boogying and pushing the shovels and skis overall. Disappointingly, after receiving the skis and taking them out of the box; the last 6-10 inches of edge was oxidized and had developed some surface rust on the edge despite clearly being new and wrapped in plastic. Unfortunately, I've already had to take them to a stone to get rid of this. Surprisingly, the durability is much, MUCH better than I was expecting. The top sheet does scratch and scuff relatively easily, but I've found the edge doesn't take chunks and chips out of the top sheet. Overall, the skis feel and ski great and are exactly what I was looking for; a playful all-mountain carving park ski...
