An efficient fleece designed for alpinists.

The Arc'teryx Men's Procline Hybrid Hooded Jacket was designed for high aerobic ascents in demanding alpine environments. In order to deliver the best efficiency in climates where moisture and thermal management can be the difference between success and failure, Arc'teryx employed a hybrid mapping construction in the Procline, which places a 20-denier nylon shell throughout the body along with a moisture-wicking grid fleece fabric through the front, back, sides, and hood of the jacket. Polartec Power Stretch side panels maximize mobility whether you're skiing, ice climbing, or working your way up a mixed route. The jacket has a trim fit, which puts a premium on movement and minimal bulk, allowing the jacket to be comfortably layered under a shell when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

No need for pit-zips---here's why: light, wind-resistant (think of the awesome Atom LT by Arc’teryx), air permeable, water-resistant, and save the pit-zips for another jacket---this one includes Polartec Powerstretch with Hardface down the side panels, through the pits and down the whole arm length. The slightest arm movement and you can FEEL it breath, yet it meets wind and weather head-on. An amazing combination of 3 materials in perfect unison. The light, minimalist grid fleece lining provides just enough insulation and the precise placement of breathable, stretch fabric encourages movement in every direction. While pretty true-to-size, it's low-profile, trim fit to be sure. In a nutshell, designed for high output, surprisingly light, comfortable, protective, and breathable. Hard to believe it's 14.1 oz...feels like 8. (note: I have the women's version but the technical design, materials, and purpose are the same)
