- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
used these in winter park this past December with a lithic glove in single digit temps. they kept my hands warm and dry no sweaty or clammy feeling. the touch screen feature did not work great but was not really a factor for me
Great Gloves BUT A Big Problem
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These gloves are exactly what I had been looking for. Good snug but not tight fit, decent in cold weather as a stand alone glove and durable (I actually hooked these on a thorn bush and after hearing the ripping noise expected to look down and see a huge tear - nothing, not even a mark). BUT...that smooth comfy feel comes at a cost: you can't grab anything with them. I wore to set up my new tent and they simply had no friction to grip anything. They just slide on fabrics, the metal of fabrics or tools, etc. Was pretty frustrating using them for tasks and trying to get enough of a grip to slide a tent pole into a sleeve, pull the tabs of the fly to secure, push in a tent stake,etc.. So depending on what you're getting these for that can be a big factor. For everything else they were excellent.
