Ready for life on the streets.

Get to work with all your essentials still intact with the Arc'teryx Lunara 10 Bag. This weather-resistant shoulder bag is equipped with a ripstop fabric, padded back panel, and taped seams to protect against accidental drops and unexpected storms. It also has an internal retention strap to keep your thirteen-inch laptop from rattling around and a zippered front pocket to hold smaller items. A removable waist belt prevents your bag from swinging around when you're commuting by bike, and a white coating on the interior makes it easier to see inside when you're searching for an important document.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

some of the problems i see with this bag

    1. $90 for a bag with 2 pockets...but okay it's in the description. I know what I paid for. However, an external pocket for bottle would be awesome

    2. not durable. This is where the mark down is. see picture. That's from after 5 days of using this bag. It's from rubbing against cord adjuster on my arcteryx shell from movements when i was walking around with this on my back....something I consider a normal use of this or any bags.

    3. internal strap is useless

    4. waist strap is barely long enough for me and my wasit size is 32

    What I like:

    1. it hugs the body really well even without the waist strap.

    2. perfect size for daily/traveling bag.

    3. good materials (except the padding in the back)

    Love my bag

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this bag. It's perfectly compact. I like to carry only the essentials. I'll take my air mac laptop to work a few times to work, but I mostly don't. I've gone running with this pack a few times. The strap in the inner is great. It holds my mac just in place. It won't fit with its case. Just the air alone, a thin 13". The design is simple. I recommend it. Completely waterproof and weatherproof.

    Love my bag

    super comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

i love this bag. it is very simple. has two pockets. adjustable, comfortable minimalist shoulder strap. Also very innovative. Usually shoulder strap has one point of adjustments. This one has a center piece made of some non slippery material and two other pieces that can be adjusted. It also has tiny hip belt that i have not used it yet.

i bought it for traveling as a day pack to store a book, camera, water, rain jacket.

So far i use it every rainy day to keep my laptop ( mac air 11.6") and change of clothes dry while i am biking to work.

    Sweet Bag

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The characteristics that garner negative reviews about this bag I think make it a one of a kind shoulder bag. It is simple, light, unobtrusive and extremely durable. I use it primarily as a fly fishing pack, carrying all essentials for a full day on the river. It has stood up to serious bushwhacking, and is highly water resistant. No frills design makes it streamlined and efficient. Don't listen to reviews that say "it's just a few pieces of tarp thrown together." High quality you know and love from the Dead Bird.

    Very Rugged

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This bag has a very simple design - a large internal pocket with an elastic band and an outer zip pocket. The material is rugged, stiff and loud, a bit more fabric-y and supple than a dry bag, but not much. That said, it's not designed for a laptop and office supplies, (and for that reason I almost sent it back when I first received it.)

I used it recently however as my medical kit for a recent trip to Haiti, where I served as the team physician. It was really perfect for this purpose. I squeezed my customized Adventure Medical Kits, size Guide I in the main compartment, and my stethoscope in the outer zip pocket. Through dust, rain, orphans, and rides in the bed of a modified 4X4 on dirt roads, my equipment and supplies were clean and protected. On returning home, I wiped the dust and grime off with a Clorox wipe, and it's looking good as new. The bag will now continue to function as my first aid grab-bag on Boy Scout trips and family outings.

My complaint would be to do away with or allow for adjustment of the 1 inch elastic strap inside the bag. As featured, it allows for stabilization only of perhaps a hard-back Tom Clancy novel. The strap does not secure anything thinner, making it worthless I think.

    Do. Not. Buy.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Arcteryx is one of my favorite brands. I love their products, but I when I received this messenger bag, I was straight up shocked. It's literally a few pieces of tarp sewn in together, and except for the zipper pocket on front, it doesn't have anything to put your stuff inside the bag. The only thing present inside the bag is a piece of elastic band that "helps" stable your laptop.. And speaking of laptops, this bag BARELY can fit a 13'' Macbook Air. Not kidding. I actually had to struggle a little bit to fit a very slim laptop.

You can make a better messenger bag yourself. Funniest part is, its strap is high quality. It's soft and has a nice feel to it, but the rest of the bag is just abysmal.
