Stylish Fit and Functional Warmth
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This jacket has such a flattering fit, while still being very functional and warm! It is so lightweight and packable, so this is my go-to for packing in a carry-on while traveling. The arms are a little long, but that is usually the case with how Arc'teryx jackets fit me. The Yerba is even great for layering under a shell because it doesn't have a hood, which is nice when the shell has a hood. I would highly recommend this jacket if you are looking for something for casual use to keep you warm, but something that also functions well as a layering piece!
Arc'teryx – Women's Yerba Coat
A shorter down coat for mildly cold urban days, the Yerba combines technical performance with unique style. Lofty 750 fill European grey goose down provides warm, lightweight insulation, and the shorter hip length allows for easy movement and layering. The distinctive quilting creates clean, tailored lines, and the water-repellent Teprine™ shell has a sleek, subtle sheen. A tall collar seals in warmth, and the lined hand pockets have hidden zippers that maintain the Yerba’s clean lines.
I'm debating between XS and S. I'm 5'5" 112 lbs. I usually wear XS shirts. Is the extra small shorter than the small? I want the jacket to be fitted but not too short, ideally right at the upper thighs.
Given that you're looking for something that sits at your upper thigh, I would not recommend this jacket for you. The small will be about a 1/2 in longer than the XS but it's still just barely going to cover your hip being 5'5." I would recommend a parka instead, that will fit at your upper thigh given your height.
Let me know if I can help you find the perfect jacket!
