A light and packable shell for cool, windy hikes.

Arc'teryx is all about making sleek and functional gear that looks good, and the Tenquille Women's Hooded Jacket doesn't miss that mark. It's versatile, light, and packable thanks to its polyester softshell construction, and it has highly breathable underarm panels to ensure you don't get sweatier than you need to when you're on the move. Arc'teryx also treated the Tenquille with a DWR water-resistant coating to shed moisture. There are plenty of thoughtful touches, too, like the low-profile hood that helps keep wind off your face, gusseted cuffs to help seal out cold drafts, and a hem drawcord that makes sure sogginess doesn't sneak up your back and down your britches.

    • Kauss polyester fabric with DWR finish

    • Regular fit
    • Fitted hood
    • Gusseted cuffs
    • Drawcord adjustable hem

    My daughters love these

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Bought these for my 2 daughters for an upcoming trip where they needed a light weight jacket. They love them and wear them just about every day. Great quality and are very lightweight.

    Good stuff for hiking

I got this little number unexpectedly while I was vacationing in Northwest Montana in late summer. I didn't expect it to be quite as chilly as it was in the evening and early morning so I needed another layer. At first glance, you wouldn't think it would be very warm, but it is surprisingly warm for its thickness. I only wore a T-shirt underneath and within minutes my body temp warmed the insides and the cut of chilly draft made for a very comfortable hiking experience. I love Arcteryx (I own a bit of it), because it fits my body type very well and the trim cut of this jacket fit beautifully under my pack. I have not experienced this jacket in the rain, but I doubt it would stand up to anything more than drizzle. Back at home in San Diego, this jacket is wonderful to cut colder wind. It is definitely goes in my pack for all hikes and I am considering taking it with me on some of my fall ultras in the mountains for when the temp drops significantly.

      Really, really lightweight

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs small

I was really excited to get the The Arc'teryx Tenquille Hooded Jacket, but ended up being a bit disappointed by it.

It's more of a windbreaker than a softshell or legitimate jacket. It'll serve a purpose for mountain biking or hiking on slightly cooler days, but it's definitely not a piece you can trust to provide warmth.

The sizing runs on the small side for a jacket, especially for how lightweight it is. I wear a Large in my jackets pretty much across the board and typically have plenty of room for layering, but this really doesn't have room for much more than a base layer underneath.

So in short, it's incredibly lightweight, with no room for a fleece or thicker base layer underneath. Overall just not the most versatile or useful piece I've found.

If I had sized up it could have been better, but ultimately at the price I could have found a different option that suits my needs much better. If what you're looking for is a really lightweight form fitting jacket that isn't for warmth, but just a wind shell, this would be a good option for you.

Bought this for my mother and she feel in love at first sight. She said she loves the material and how quality it feels just like most arc'teryx jackets do. Fits nice and snug and the has a pull string around the waist so that it will be snugged to any body type.

      Perfect Jacket

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

This jacket is light, excellent material and perfect soft shell. It's description says water resistant but I found it a to some extent waterproof as well. The fit is athletic and true to size (I purchased size S) I love the jacket. My first Arc'teryx jacket and I love it.
