    Light, compact, and reliable.

At a mere 12 ounces, the SL-340 Harness is a sport climber's dream as well as Arc'teryx's lightest and most compact yet. Warp Strength Technology offers a surprising amount of support and and balanced weight distribution, while Burly Double Weave fabrication lessens pressure points, enhances moisture management capabilities, and ensures long-lasting durability.

To keep weight down, Arc'teryx added a single, small, secure, and self-locking buckle at the waist. Despite its simplicity, the SL-340 styles safety markers at the belay loop and tie-in points for a replacement reminder. There are three gear loops, two at each side and one behind that's perfect for anchors and belay devices.

    Light as...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It’s really easy to forget it’s on, which is the hallmark of a good harness. It’s by far the thinnest harness I’ve ever worn; that wasn’t intentional and I wondered if I’d sacrifice comfort for it, but after a dozen or so sessions in it I’d say it’s one of the most comfortable harnesses I’ve ever worn too. I’m using it as a single pitch sport harness which is where it really shines. In retrospect I wish I’d gone with the FL-365 instead because personally I like having the extra gear loops, but that’s a pretty minor thing. The two loops on the SL are generous and shaped well. It packs down into any crevice left in my pack and comes back out looking like new. It’s easy to put on and take off. The fixed leg loops are simple and save weight; they’re sized perfectly and have enough stretch to accommodate whatever I’m wearing and, most importantly, THEY STAY PUT! My one and only gripe is the lack of a hard contact point at the rear of the waist! It’s got a minimal loop that’s great for my chaulk bag but nothing load bearing which is just handy for everything from anchoring to Australian style repels...ah well. This is a terrific single pitch harness, you won’t be disappointed

    Solid and functional

I have owned two of these for about eight years. The original wore through at a critical point from over use and Arcteryx replaced it free. Great customer service.

The waist belt adjustment fits a narrow range so getting it right is critical. The gear loops in my opinion are a little too far forward. The thinness of the harness material is a bonus as it's never in the way. I often wear an over the shoulder gear sling and my equipment never snags on the harness body. However, if your working a route with extended hanging on the rope the leg lops can dig in a bit especially with shorts on.

At one time this was super light. No longer. There are a now a number of brands making harnesses ~40g lighter that have all of the same features and in some cases four gear loops.

    Arc'teryx does it again!

Sleek, simple, functional, durable, lightweight, and amazing... did i mention amazing! I never imagined a harness this thin and lightweight could be this comfortable. I am not a gram counter when it comes to sport climbing gear usually but I appreciate how lightweight this is! If you are looking for a comfortable Ultraligh amazingly well built sport climbing harness look no further. That being said this harness is NOT a trad or multi pitch harness as it only has 2 gear loops to help save on overall weight.

    Bought as a gift

I bought this as a gift for my friend, he absolutely loves it. Out of curiosity I had to try it on it fits perfect and is so so so comfortable haven't worn it on the wall, however that might change soon looking to buy one for myself soon!

    Woah mama.

Seriously. What the hell? This is like being help up by a divine force while on the wall. There are no pressure points and I honestly don't even notice i'm wearing it. The technology that distributes the force throughout the harness instead of into focused ropes is the technology to thank. I know it looks pricy, but it's worth it in my opinion.

    😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Omg it's so nice. Got it as my first harness and it is so amazing. But before you order get on the web site for a sizing chart it's really helpful.
