This jacket is super light and minimal! I love the ease of just throwing this on when the hike gets too breezy and I just want an extra light layer to keep goosebumps at bay. This jacket is true to size, though arcteryx tends to be a slimmer fit so I went with a small rather than XS for extra comfort. Though I wouldn't rely on this jacket in the rain, I've found it to be the perfect layer to keep in my day pack for days I know it won't pour!

Over several seasons of climbing and hiking in the Wasatch, I have been caught in a variety of "unexpected" weather conditions. I've been on a lookout for a pullover that I can pull on if the weather turns really windy or starts raining. Finally, Arcteryx has made a jacket that is exactly what I've been looking for! I've only worn it a few times, but I literally bring this with me everywhere now. This pullover definitely seems more breathable than my other rain jackets, but I still warm up pretty quickly when I am moving while wearing this. I haven't tested it out in rain yet. I wouldn't want to rely on this during a heavy downpour, but I am fully confident I would stay dry during a drizzle. It cuts the wind when you put it on. Additionally, it is super stretchy, and it doesn't limit my mobility at all when rock climbing. Arcteryx has added in things in the bottom hem so that it stays put under your harness. This jacket fits true to size, and fits similarly to other Arcteryx clothing. I always find Arcteryx Women's jackets to run on the shorter side, and this jacket is no exception. If it was any shorter, then I would go with the Men's version (size down 1 size), as Men's tend to run longer. Or you could size up in the women's, but it definitely will not fit as slim. I have this in the Iolite color, and it is beautiful. Even though it is expensive, I would highly recommend! This is a piece that will definitely last you a long time.
