    Shashka Pant

The Arc’teryx Women’s Shashka Pant is a prime example of when your gear reinforces your love of skiing. To make sure your comfort is not forgotten in all of the excitement, the Shashka’s waterproof shell is suited with Gore-Tex’s new futuristic three-layer membrane, which uses a dense yet lightweight circular knit to drop bulk and increase breathability while still maintaining its highly-acclaimed durability. The articulated design and gusseted crotch heighten your freedom of movement on traverses, uptracks, and steep descents to keep you going back for more. And the reinforced instep patches, adjustable touring cuffs, and the high-waisted low-bib are just plain thoughtful.

    • Backcountry shells that put comfort and convenience first
    • Gore-Tex shell delivers waterproof protection with a side of softness
    • Fully sealed seams enhance moisture blocking power
    • Articulated design increases room for mobility
    • Low-bib helps to prevent snow from finding a way in
    • Instep reinforcements protect against damage from sharp edges
    • Touring cuffs make it easier to buckle without snow getting in
    • Side vents for quick access to body temperature regulation

Great lightweight hardshell bibs without any excess features. I've used these bibs for touring and for days at the resort. The hard shell material is very light, and I have high hopes for them being comfortable for spring touring. They are not warm, but I think that is a good thing and just layer up for cold weather. Very happy with the water resistance of the fabric. I love the large thigh pockets and the big vents that open fully. There is a small pocket at the waist that is big enough for credit card, lip balm, key - but not big enough for a cell phone. You can fully open the leg vent on the right from the waist to just above the knee and it works as a drop seat. Definitely recommend these pants.

These bibs are amazing! They are extremely comfortable and flattering. I love that you are able to adjust the straps to crisscross them in the back so they never fall down. They are definitely a shell but I stay very warm and dry on cold days by just adding an additional layer. I would recommend downsizing , I usually wear a small but the extra small fits my 5'4'' 120 lbs body perfectly.

    Simple, High Quality Bibs

I got to try these, and have used them for many days out snowboarding. If you want simple, high quality minimalist bibs without a lot of bells and whistles, then this is the one for you! I was impressed with the material quality - the Gore-tex wicked water droplets right off, and stayed totally dry in early season pow! I am tall (5'10), and it is hard to find bibs that don't ride up the crotch. Unfortunately these were not quite long enough to be perfect, but still did the job. I found the long zipper in front a little bit awkward looking, but that's just personal preference. I didn't love the straps - very minimalist here, not even something to keep the cross in the back attached, and they did sometimes fall off my shoulders unfortunately, though I did need the straps looser than normal to accomodate for my height. Overall, a good quality bib - the superior craftsmanship of Arc'teryx is here, but just not quite the bibs for me.

I was so excited to try these pants out! The material is super nice quality, no doubt about it. Nice and water and windproof. I was not cold at all in the teens when I went snowboarding. However, the fit was just not right for me. I am 5'2 and 120lbs and the XS was a bit too big for me. The pant itself rode up uncomfortably and was still too long. There was just a little too much material for my liking. I didnt love the straps either, I thought I had tightened them down pretty tightly but they kept falling to the sides of my arms. I was not a big fan but it seems like it just didnt fit my body type.

I used these pants for a handful of tours and a couple days at the resort. They're waterproof, comfortable, and very easy to move in. I love the generous thigh pockets and how easy it is to grab essentials, also love the thigh vents. Big fan of the bib design, only wish there was a drop-seat for quicker bathroom breaks. XS fit well, I usually wear a 2 or 4.

Top quality pants with impeccable fit. These are flattering, comfortable, and highly technical. I have used these in wet conditions and powder conditions without any worries. These are also very breathable, so I can really get after it on the slops without getting hot or sweaty.

I've never owned my own pair of snow pants. These are great! I'm a solid size 2. I weight 125 lbs and am 5'2. These look super long but actually fit me great after my boots are on! I love the straps too. Super sturdy.

The Shashka Pants are absolutely perfect for any lady looking for a hardshell bib to take out on the skin track (or the chairlift!). The 3-layer Gore-Tex construction and high-waisted design provide excellent protection from the elements, while maintaining a comfortable and flattering fit with plenty of room to move and layer. The side zips make for easy pit stops when nature calls, and the TouringCuff gaiters make adjusting your boots without getting snow in them a breeze. Plus, the Blue Sapphire color is beautiful :) If you have any questions about Arc'teryx gear, feel free to reach out! Hey! I'm interested in these but not sure about sizing. I'm a solid size 4 in Arcteryx pants. Waiste: 28.5 inches, hips 36 inches, straight, boyish figure. Should I buy an XS or SMALL?

Hi there! Can you fit a beacon in the upper bib pocket?

    >Rating:

I'm thinking about purchasing the Arcteryx Shashka women's bib pant, but not sure my size, M or L. My waist is 31" and my hips are 41". I am kind of in between the two sizes. I just hate things tight. I think these have stretch which is good, but any advise would be great. Thanks in advance! ;)

Donna, I would go with the large, it is better to have room and mobility than for them to be snug and tight. If you have more questions you can email me at cekblad@backcountry.com
