    Rush LT Jacket

The lightest jacket in the Arc'teryx Whiteline (ski and snowboard apparel), the Rush LT Jacket is designed to meet the demands of the backcountry. Its lightweight, durable construction has plenty of features for long uptracks and aggressive descents. The minimalist design gives it the classic Arc'teryx aesthetic while keeping the weight down so you can easily pack it along on your backcountry adventures. Its Gore-Tex Pro construction with e3D patterning offers durable waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection to keep you comfortable and mobile in alpine pursuits, no matter the conditions you encounter.

Typically, when you're out in the backcountry, you'll be carrying a pack. So the straps don't rub holes into the jacket, and to up the ruggedness of other high wear areas, Arc'teryx adds durable, 80 denier reinforcement panels on the shoulders, lower back, and hood to increase the jacket's longevity. The helmet compatible StormHood gives full head protection and is easily adjustable, even with winter gloves on, for a secure fit that won't inhibit peripheral vision. The Rush's pockets and underarm vents are easily accessible while wearing a pack and the hem adjusters, like the hood adjusters, are easy to use so you can seal out the elements on alpine summits without taking your gloves off. Finally, internal powder straps are made to attach to compatible pants to keep fresh flakes from creeping up your back on the deepest days off the grid.

    • Rugged, packable jacket for alpine and backcountry skiing
    • Fully seam sealed Gore-Tex Pro membrane keeps moisture away
    • Reinforcement panels in high wear areas increase longevity

    All Time Favorite Shell

I am so stoked on this jacket. Its been absolutely dumping here in Utah the last 3 weeks, and this piece of gear has been stellar on all of my ski tours. The pit zips make it easy to dump heat and it keeps you completely dry it the heaviest of snow storms. I love the bright red color for staying visible to your fellow ski partners. 100% recommend this jacket to anyone needing a ski jacket that will last forever and never under perform.

    Another great jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'11"

Arc'teryx constantly makes high quality high visibility products. This jacket is no exception. Lightweight but durable and solid waterproof makes this jacket the go-to for on mountain activities. not heavy enough that you would want to leave it at home instead of in your pack for the skintrack either. Perfection!

    Another great jacket

zipper broke day 6 of skiing!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    • Weight: 150lbs

I bought this jacket for my husband for his birthday. He loves to ski and skis a lot and all over. He took it on a backcountry trip in the Tetons and on the 3rd day he pulled to zip and the entire metal loop holding the tab broke off. It was quite cold, but still not what should happen with a coat made for backcountry skiing and in this price range. Arcteryx will send a replacement zipper head but he couldn't raise and lower the zipper of the the coat for the rest of the trip without taking gloves off which was a real pain and he eventually didn't wear it as it was too much of a hassle and hard to manage temperature. He loves the coat/color otherwise but it does make us question the quality.

Arc'Teryx Quality in a great jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 145lbs

My initial impressions on this jacket were that it looked sharp and fit great. It had plenty of room for layering but I wasn't drowning in it either! The FireCracker color looks great, it's an orange color with the burgundy accents.

I wore a synthetic base layer with the Patagonia R1 under this and still had plenty of room for a down jacket when I stopped for lunch!

There is a mesh pocket on the inner right side of the jacket, great for storing some loose items. The mesh is high quality so it will not rip.
On the inner right side there is a sealed pocket, that I used mainly for my phone and wallet.

The 3 layer Gore-Tex kept my mid layers dry on those snowy days and on any falls I took.

I highly recommend this shell if you are considering doing any kind of touring. It's lightweight, waterproof, and breathable!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 200lbs

Bought this to replace my old Pataguchi Powder Bowl jacket, which was heavy and never did a great job of staying dry.

I have used the Rush LT more in the backcountry, but at the resort a handful of times as well. Performs flawlessly in either scenario.

I typically tour in either my Patagonia R1, or Arcteryx Proton LT (if it is really cold), and throw the Rush LT on immediately up top. I will leave it on when charging down, but take it off for any long traverse out. At the resort when I am not working as hard, I have the Rush LT on the outside with either of the two previously mentioned layering pieces underneath. Breathes well when I overheat, and keeps me warm on the long lift rides up.

The Rush LT by itself is a wonder. Super lightweight, waterproof yet breathable, and well designed/built. It runs maybe a touch large and long, but I like the extra room for layering, and the extra length for sitting as I am a knuckle dragger. Overall, looking forward to years of putting it through the ringer.

I will say the Proton LT and Rush LT combo is particularly sweet, and definitely the nicest setup I have ever owned in terms of functionality, weight, flexibility, and durability.

Arcteryx costs a pretty penny, but it is honestly the best stuff out there.

    Best touring jacket out there

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Arc'teryx took the infamous Rush jacket and made this LT option that dominates the backcountry playing field. Being the lightest jacket in the whiteline series from arc'teryx at just 15 oz, and bomber goretex pro material you can guarantee satisfaction with this piece. A regular fit that is easy to layer with and great ventilation for the uphill track. a 31 inch center back length giving you the full coverage and protection you need.
