Live your vertical dreams.

Trying to climb 12 pitches in a day means you have more important things to worry about than constantly adjusting your layers, which makes the Arc'teryx Psiphon SL Men's Softshell Pullover a key piece of your kit. It's designed specifically for long days on the wall, with stretchy, breathable, and abrasion-resistant softshell fabric and a snug-fitting, helmet-compatible, water-repellent hood to keep your brain functioning smoothly when you're 800 feet off the deck. When you're not using it, the hood locks down with hidden snaps so it doesn't blow around in the wind, and the stretchy gusseted cuffs make it easy to slide up your sleeves and keep your hands free to crimp, pinch, slap, and jam. Arc'teryx also included a single-handed HemLock hem drawcord, which secures comfortably under a harness to keep drafts from interrupting your concentration.

Awesome light weight layer

Awesome layer for cooler days. Does a great job of adding a little warmth and breaking the wind, but allowing you to breath.

Perfect

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small
  • Height: 5'9"
  • Weight: 145lbs

The Psiphon SL is my absolute favorite cool-weather climbing layer. It doesn't breathe nearly as well as something like an R1, but the deep front zip makes it super easy to regulate body temperature. I wear this any time I climb in weather under 50 degrees F.
Again, thanks to the long front zip, you can take this off while wearing your helmet, which is a requirement for climbing layers in my book.
The material is about as weather-resistant as you can get without having a membrane, and it's durable as all hell. I've brutaled my way up wingate and granite OWs in this thing and it doesn't show one sign of being put through such abuse.
It packs small and is lightweight. I Love it.

Perfect

The fit is great. The quality is pure Arcteryx. Water resistant and just the right length. I look forward wearing it while running in the cooler months.
