This is a very lightweight base layer that feels great against the skin. When hiking I wear mine under a t-shirt (cool weather) or under a fleece (cold weather). I've worn it several days in a row before without it smelling. One time I did a 5 day hiking trip and only realised at the trailhead that I'd forgotten my good raincoat. So I had to make do with the 10 year old not-really-waterproof-nylon-raincoat I keep in the car for emergencies. On day 5 it poured with rain and I got soaked through the old jacket but thanks to the Phase SL Crew top I didn't get too cold. By the end of the three hour drive home it had dried simply from my body heat. I love mine so much I own 2 now.

I purchased this for my father who spends quite a bit time outside. It's pretty thin fabric and allows breath ability. Since my father gets so cold, he has to layer this. However, he says he loves the fit and feel. He really enjoys how it looks as wells.

For Skiing & Mountain Biking

I was in the market for a lightweight baselayer that I can use for skiing and mountain biking and this is exactly what I was looking for. I only wish there was a SL merino version as well.

Did a 30 degree run and seemed to work well. Stopped and walked after and felt like it kept me warm and dried super quick.

Its really on the middle. Not too light, not too warm. Fabric is good and very very soft. In runs small. I got large and fits close to body, but for active use is ok, not for casual. to tight.

What a great skin feel performance shirt. All around by itself or as a base layer this year around hiker. Skin fit feel for the cold and cool feeling when it warms. Many uses and value for what feels like heaven. Can't go wrong with Arc'teryx except on the pronunciation. Great colors and very even with my big frame, I'm good.

Great baselayer

Familiarity:

Not tight, but great next to skin feel. I'm 5"11" 160, with a wiry athletic build and I don't think this could fit better. I've been -using this on warm days and storm days under a 100 weight fleece and even at the gym as a standalone piece it has performed excellently in every condition. Little stinky after 2-3 uses, but that's to be expected. If you like have mid to heavy insulating midlayers and do high exertion activities in cold weather - this is the baselayer for you.

Decent baselayer

Next to skin fit, I am 165 (5'10") and these are quite snug.Great baselayer when heading out on the mountain or even backyard with the kids. wicks away moisture very well but sometimes I find that it feels a bit damp after a day of hard skiing (although you never notice the dampness). Overall decent baselayer, I am not sure about the anti microbial layer as I find they do get a case of the stinks if they sit around in my laundry bin for a few day (similar products that have anti microbials i have used did not have this same prob)
