Nodin Jacket
Pull the Arc'teryx Men's Nodin Jacket out of your backpack when winds threaten to blow you off the trail. This light windshell is so compact that it stows inside its own pocket so you can take it wherever you trek, and Arc'teryx added a DWR finish to protect you from any incoming rainfall that the brisk breeze might bring. The StowHood stays secure in strong winds, and the hem drawcord assures a snug fit while you battle the winds.

Solid, versatile jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- Medium
- Height

- Weight

this jacket is one of my go to travel pieces. It's perfect for staying warm on the plane and is functional when arriving. It won't keep you dry for an 8 hour hike in the rain, but for a quick city drizzle or rain storm, it works well. The zip away hood is very compact so it doesn't affect the piece if you are just wearing it as a jacket.

This jacket is very light, very simple and in between trim and loose fit. The length is perfect; 2-3 inches below belt in front and longer in back. It has a loose feel yet looks semi tailored. If you're looking for a heavy jacket this is not it. Its very thin, yet it gives a slight wind and moisture break. It retains body heat but it's not a jacket for long term cold exposure. Overall, this is a great jacket for those who travel or live busy lifestyles. Dont be fooled by the weight, it does the job for keeping the chill away and remains wrinkle free. I own 3 colors

One of my favorite summer jackets
I have had this jacket for over a year and used it at various temperatures. It is great for travel, use it by itself if you get a slight chill, or with a vest under for more warmth, or even in a spring/fall with a fleece jacket under. Works very well. It is not intended for as a rain protection. However it will work fine when itâs misty but not pouring. I disagree with other reviews that do not give credit to this jacket. Also - it packs really well into a built in pocket pouch.

Wind Breaker
Arcteryx makes great thick Gortex Shells. However to me this shell like several of there forget thin shells just did not turn out to be worth the additional cost compared to other brands light rain shells. I was not in more than a little rain and my Top was soaked. I would not purchase this product again.

Thank you so much for this review, Mike! It's good to know that this really is for wind resistance and not really for rainy conditions.

Regular trim fit vs. Atom SL hooded
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- Medium

- Weight
- 160 lbs
If you are familiar with Arc’teryx clothing you know they are typically slim fitting. The Nodin is more of a regular trim fit especially compared to the Atom SL hooded insulated jacket. My chest is 39”, waist 30” with a short torso, and arms are 13” at its thickest regular length. I typically wear size medium in most of my clothing as long as it’s regular fitting. The Nodin is perfectly shaped to my body. A true Medium jacket. The cuffs are elastic but not tight. The hood does store into the collar with an elastic face similar to the cuffs. This jacket does wrinkle easily. Upon receiving my jacket, the fold marks were apparent. After a quick wash and line dry the wrinkles went away. This is a thin shell jacket that would best apply to windy conditions over a soft fleece layer for added warmth. The zippers are nice and tough. This is a quality jacket, but I feel the price is much too high. I do like it’s versatility tho as it can be worn in the outdoors or casually with jeans. I would only recommend if you can justify the cost by wearing it frequently.
