This shirt is quite fitted, trim. I'm 6' 2" 195 with a long torso and it could be an inch or two longer. The material has a slick appearance and with the sleeves down it looks almost formal, save the zippered pocket on the arm and the button on each sleeve. Yes, those two attachments with round plastic pieces on the sleeves are buttons. They connect to the sleeve strap, that holds up your rolled sleeves at about four turns of the cuff. This brings the shirt to a surprisingly active feel and also pulls it close to the body. This is not a shirt to wear a t-shirt beneath. The material is cool and almost airy against the skin. I bought it for the sun protection in Miami and Colombia and imagine the sweat wicking properties will be pretty good. Finally - the Magnet color is more green than gray, which I never would have imagined from the stock photo posted to the site. Photo attached.

I tried this brand for the first time and I loved so much that I bough this for my son. I am a true believer that you can not go wrong buying this brand. Awesome material, right fit, and high quality.

I was a little shocked at the quality of this shirt. The material is terrific, great for summer weather. It's athletic in nature, fitted. I paid good money last summer to have some new dress shirts custom tailored for the exact same fit! I have a function this summer in New Orleans and my wife and I both agree that I can get away with wearing this under a sport coat. I got the blue color for what it's worth. It has buttons near the biceps for rolling up the sleeves but these would be covered up by the coat. I truly think it looks so dressy that no one will notice that it's really an outdoor related shirt. I'll be much more comfortable in the hot, humid weather wearing this shirt in NOLA than I would with a normal cotton based button up.

Arctee hit it out of the park
I am a huge Arctee (I always call them Arctee, don't ask why) fan and sometimes that makes me too willing to cut them slack when they release a product that doesn't live up to the brand's well earned reputation. It is also pretty damn difficult to admit it when you realize the shirt you just shelled out $100+ for actually sucks. I am happy to say the Arctee Elaho is not one of those shirts. In fact it is my all time favorite shirt in their lineup and II like it so much that I own one of every color. The quality is everything you expect with no small but annoying defects like the shoddy buttons on the Merlon or Skyline. It can be worn comfortably all year round, no matter the temperature, and it looks damn good too. Dressy enough for work but casual enough for everything else. If they make more in different colors I will buy those too. Freakin love it. Homerun Arctee on this one.

Perfect for hot weather
Love this shirt. I took it to China and Bangladesh in August and wore it in business casual environments - it kept me cool and collected in some serious heat and humidity. It looks great and the fit is nice and trim - and I got a few compliments! Update 10/3/2017 - I bought a second one (this time in green) because I loved the first one so much. I wore it in Zion over a two-day backcountry hiking trip and it performed really well - it regulated my temperature and was comfortable all day long

I was worried this would be too tight, but it was a great fit. I'm about 6 ft and 200lbs and went with a large. It was a trim, fit but a good one. Long arms and some stretch to it. The material is very thin but nice. Great summer shirt - cool and thin. The seams and cut give it an athletic feel, but not restrictive. I might have to pick up a couple more if I can catch a sale.

Great shirt, slim fit, breathable
Good quality, breathable. go-to short for office or travel. slim fit. looks sharp. Wishing it had front pocket for passport; sleeve pocket is not as useful for that purpose.

Good quality shirt with slim fit
This is a great product from arcteryx, as always. The fabric seems super durable and breathable. The fit is great in the shoulders and chest, thanks to the gusseted underarms. But I find the fit through the torso to be more tailored, especially compared to the skyline shirt. The skyline is reported as being more of a slim fit compared to the regular Elaho but I felt the fit was actually the opposite with the Skyline shirt hanging more loosely. I also felt that the color was darker than depicted. I am returning the shirt due to the fit but feel that it is a very quality shirt that would hold up to anything you put it through.

odd fit, ok breathability, salt stains
I really want to love this shirt. Who would not love a dressy button down on the trail? I'm pretty tall, at 6'5", long arms, and broader shoulders than hips. I tend to hike at a pretty fast pace, and in the humid Northeast. I didn't expect this shirt to be useful in the summer, but thought i'd give it a shot for the spring and fall seasons. It does breath pretty well. I've been out a few times now in 50 degree weather. Being able to button down a bit, and roll up sleeves. All good. However, at some point, the material becomes saturated; at this point, it's not especially comfortable. The Norrona/29 Tech shirt has a similar problem. Once it wets out, ugh. In contrast, the Fjallraven Abisko vent zip-down feels pretty good, even saturated. This Elaho does dry very fast, as does the Abisko vent zip-down (the Norrona Tech shirt takes forever to dry). Fit-wise, it's not great for me. I know, 6'5" and not burly means I'm always going to be in a bit of a no-mans land viz. fit. (Backcountry, are you reading? How about a series focused on tall dudes?). However, this one goes a bit off the normal Arc'teryx fit. I have other button downs from them, also in Large, and don't have this problem that the Elaho does: the shoulders are too narrow, and the hips are WAY too wide. It's almost ridiculous. Though the arms are almost fine (i could use another 1-2", but it's passable). But the narrow shoulders mean that any motion results in restriction and ride-up of the sleeves. At the hips... omg, I must have a good 8" of excess material. Perhaps this was intentional, to allow for venting? It's clearly not what is illustrated in their copy. Maybe I just got a dud cut. Lastly, I got the Magnet color. It shows salt stains, from sweat, readily. I suppose this is a testament to just how quickly the material dries. But it's not very appealing, and means I feel like I need to wash it after every use, even if, stink-wise, I wouldn't otherwise have to.

I just got back from the Walkers Haute Route, a trek through the Swiss Alps. I bought the Elcho Shirt just before leaving, even though pack weight was a high priority, so as to have a nice shirt on the 3 week trip. I folded and rolled it and packed with the rest of my clothing and only wore it once - for my birthday dinner in Zermatt. Totally worth carrying - I looked great! I'm 5'8", 144 lbs. and the small fits perfectly. The color, fit, style, and portability, are exceptional for its great looks. I'm super happy with this winner from Arc'teryx.

Great Shirt, Will be buying more
I wore this shirt for 3 days straight this weekend and it work perfectly. Alatorne fabric breathes and wicks sweat better than I was expecting it to and dries very quickly once wet. It protected me from the sun and bugs without fail. Pricy, but like most Arcteryx products- worth it!
