What can I say about Arcteryx jacket? I never need to worry about the sizing, it fits me right(not trim fit like kyanite, not loose fit either),I can definitely put a layer under this jacket. BTW, as always, Backcountry service is excellent, thanks again.

I'm buying a second Covert Jacket because I wear my first one entirely too often. My friends were starting to ask if I ever cleaned it. Switching up the color to throw them off. Again, true to fit with longer sleeves that I need. Hoody is non-obtrusive if not being used; easy to forget that it's there. Great mid-layer with Atom LT or Cerium vest. I use it skiing and around town. I don't have piling on my first one, but I'm careful to turn it inside-out when washing it.

I purchased this jacket as a gift and it is beautiful. The color (Nighthawk) is awesome, the jacket is well constructed, the material is super soft, and I love the look of it. This brand may work well for a variety of body types, but for the lean and long-limbed males in my family this brand is great. Typically they have issues with the arms and torso being too short or the width of the torso too wide (when the arms are long enough). This style and brand seem to offer the perfect blend.

gotta say Im very much liking this hoody only thing is I'm pissed I didn't order it sooner. ok so as for sizing id say order ur normal size and maybe one smaller I got the xl and over a flannel it fits just rite now just over a tee its a tad large. now as far as warmth id say cozy to the 50s with a shirt under it. I can't wait to wear it out when the tempts get really cold.

I love the fit of my Arc'Teryx products and the Covert Hooded Fleece is no exception. The copperwood color isn't anything like shown on the Backcountry website. It is much more orange than tan. It is still acceptable, just not what I expected. I often wear large shirts/jackets because my shoulders are wide and my arms long. I bought the medium and it fits great.

I've had this coat for about a year now and use it a lot! It is one of those heavier type hoodies that you can wear almost anywhere any time of the year (above 40F). The one issue I have with it though is that after the initial break-in period, it will starts to show piling, which is too bad as it is a fantastic jacket. I'm not sure what Arc'teryx folks can do to fix this problem

This item is fantastic. It is not windproof.. That being said, great construction super warm and comfortable. As insulation it is superb, around the cabin and indoors its akin to wearing a blankie! The outside construction is a tightly weaved material with the inside being a super soft lofted fleece. As with many Arcteryx products. This is a beautiful addition and serves its owner well.

A Nice Fleece!

I own several Arcteryx pieces. I purchased this fleece as an everyday jacket that would keep me warm when walking around Boston. The quality of the jacket is excellent. Arcteryx always makes a great product. The fit is a tad short, but nothing to stop you from buying it. I am 6'0 185 athletic build and I bought a large. I am happy with the fleece.

Great all-around fleece

I have used this to layer under a waterproof shell for skiing and it works great, not as bulky as some other fleece layers I own. When the temperatures warm up, this is a great light jacket to wear on brisk mornings. The hood comes in handy when wearing this jacket on its own. As with most arc'teryx gear I found this jacket fits a little tighter to the body so I sized up. I am 6'0 205lbs and the XL was the fit for me.

Good layering piece
I like the Covert. Been carrying one around for a cozy fleece for a few years now, since 2007. It is warm, but not at all wind proof. Best used under another layer, for that reason I think there are better aAcr'teryx fleeces out there. Put your $200 towards a Hyllus or a Gamma MX that will be much more versatile.

Large is too short for me
I am 6'0 /180lbs athletic/runner build, the Covert is too short for me. The sleeves are about 1 to 1 1/2 inches too short and the waist falls right at the the belt line....dont raise your arms. If this item were to shrink in the wash, it would be unwearable. Based on the measurements of the XL it is going to be very large in the body for me. I have an Arc'teryx Gamma jacket in large and it fits perfectly. The Covert apparently is not cut to the same sizes as their jackets.

Great Top
Just thick enough for this time of the year! It is a great weight for everything and it breaths very nicely. It is a slim fit but I am a big fan of the cut, I am athletic build and it works for me. I have also dried it on occation when my wife does the laundry and it didn't shrink! :)

Not on Par
Have had this hoody for just over a year, so I feel like i have experience to review on durability. It's really not that great... The sleeves are pilling horribly; the stitching is also coming loose on the bottom of the sleeves. If you want to wear a technical brand for sitting on the couch and looking cool walking around town: go for it. Anything else: save 200 bucks.
