Leave it to Arc'teryx to take something as simple as a baseball cap and unnecessarily redesign it from the ground up. The brim seems to have a hard plastic inside the technical fabric they used. This is great, as if the hat gets wet, the brim doesn't get floppy and lose its curve. The mesh they used for the back is different from standard which is nice as it is a little softer than standard. The best feature of this hat is a small gap between the slightly-elastic band that goes around your head and the brim. This allows for a tight yet comfortable fit meaning the hat doesn't come off as easily when doing any activity at speed. I bought this hat as an afterthought on top of another order but it has quickly become my favorite for outdoor activity.
