    Cerium LT Hooded Down Jacket

Layer the Arc'teryx Mens' Cerium LT Hooded Down Jacket under your shell when you head out for a backcountry tour on a crisp, cold morning, or use it as an outer layer for chilly fall hikes. The combination of 850-fill goose down and strategically placed Coreloft insulation keeps you warm during bone-chilling days in the backcountry. While Coreloft insulation does resist moisture better than down, and an ominous drizzle won't leave you a cold, soaking mess, it's best to pair this with a waterproof shell if you know wet weather is coming. This superlight hooded jacket comes with its own stuff sack so you can easily bring it along on your next ski tour.

    • Light, durable midlayer for cool, dry backcountry conditions
    • 850-fill goose down is light and compressible
    • Coreloft insulation for areas prone to overheating
    • Lightweight Arato shell with DWR treatment repels moisture
    • Adjustable, insulated StormHood protects head from wind and cold
    • Jacket stuffs into pocket for easy packing
    • Slim fit makes it easy to throw on under a shell
    • Item #ARC00P6

The best down jacket out there

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 200lbs

This jacket is amazing. It is light and packs into itself with ease, making it a no-brainer to bring into the backcountry in case the temps get cold. This jacket synches down around the waist, wrists and head if the wind is blowing or you can loosen them if you get a bit warm. The jacket is nice and slim and also works great as a layer underneath a waterproof shell.

    The best down can offer!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Arc'teryx as a brand doesn't make product to meet expectations, it makes product to exceed them. This jacket is as perfect example of minimalistic design, and a labor intensive construction process. The jacket is lightweight weighing between 10-11 oz depending on size, and has a great new improvement for the 2018-2019 season- the center back hem length is longer than previously. The fit is regular, but I personally recommend sizing up if you choose to layer, or like a more loose fit. I will always say that buying arc'teryx (although at a more competitive price), is better than buying multiple jackets over the years of any other brand. Buy one with a lifetime warranty that you can rely on.

    Great Warmth, questionable durability

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I purchased this puffy for it's full features and light weight. I'm not terribly tough on clothes, but this one took a beating on it's first outing. After 4 days in the backcountry, there was a dime sized hole in the fabric on the left chest, and another on the right sleeve. Both required patching, (no company makes matching patches for the dark blue). My previous patagonia ultralight down jacket has been on many trips, and has yet to show a blemish. I like the warmth, the way the cuffs are stitched, and the feel of the fabric. But, it's the opposite of bomber.

    Worth it

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 160lbs

I got this for my husband when it was on sale and he loves it. He said sometimes Arcteryx items can be way too tight in the arm pit or chest, but this jacket fits him well. He wears it for all our backpacking and camping adventures. Works really well for him down to the 50's with a shirt underneath. After that he adds a few layers and is still comfy. He has a 40in chest and wanted to be able to layer underneath it. The large works well.

    Cerium LT Hoodie

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 175lbs

All the good things people say about this piece are true. The one place I would caution interested buyers is its size.

For reference, at 6 foot, 175 pounds with an athletic build and broader shoulders I wear a medium in the Beta SV, Atom, Squamish jacket, and Covert fleece, but went with a large here because I'd wanted the ability to comfortably throw it on top of other stuff during a stop in cold weather or at a summit, but also be able to use it as a stand alone piece and/or mid layer depending on conditions.

The short of it is that at this sticker price I sized up to increase the versatility of the jacket. --If I'd gone with my standard medium it'd be too snug even for casual use. Putting it over my medium Pat' Nano Air the front of the Nano is visible by about an inch (tolerably comfortable if I were stopping for a bit during cold weather aerobic activity or something where the Nano were my main layer). Even on its own over a T it fits similarly to my medium Atom. I will also say that I own the Word On End Hoodie in a Large which I sized up for chill'n factor - the large hoodie is also longer and looser than the Large Cerium. This is mainly a sizing report because we all know how hard it is to get the fit right shopping online and paying the return shipping is a bummer so I hope it helps! My stoke level is very high on this exquisite gear and I can't wait to put it to use!

    Ultimate Warm and Light

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L
    • Height: 6'4"
    • Weight: 200lbs

Packs down to nearly nothing, it's 10oz profile means you'll always throw it in your bag. The loft of this jacket is where it really shines, I can't imagine something being lighter than this while maintaining it's loft. If anything, throw a wind jacket / shell over top and you'll have a full winter jacket that packs to grapefruit size.

    Amazing warmth to weight ration

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 180lbs

I wore this jacket on several training hikes that were in the teens and twenties and also light snow. It held up with no issues and dried quickly from the snow once I hung it. I wore it all the way to camp 2 on Aconcagua without issue. The most amazing part of the jacket in my opinion is the hood. Super warm and hugs the face nicely which was especially useful on the high winds of Aconcagua. A few feathers have sprung out here and there and it initially concerned me greatly, but it doesn't seem to have affected performance in the slightest.

    Great Fit + Super Warm

I've been a long time fan of the Atom LT and had little need for another insulated jacket until I move from Seattle to Utah. Winters are much colder here, so I decided to try out the Cerium LT. Turns out, it is a great jacket for when the temps dip into the single digits or lower. I'm really impressed by how light the Cerium LT is, and how well it blocks the wind. Great fit, nice color options. I can easily throw a shell over it. I would recommend this jacket to friends and family.

    Best down layer I own!!

    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 190lbs

The quality of the product is amazing and the down stays properly inside the jacket the Lt is the model for me also not the lightest but the face fabric is exactly the right thickness so I don't rip it super easily.

    WARM, LIGHT and PACKABLE

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: X-LARGE
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 210lbs

Love this jacket!!...was going to get a large after reading some reviews, but ended up talking to the Tech help and they recommended the X-Large,
    it is a perfect fit.
Live in cold Wisconsin and just wear a shirt under and am warm.

Twice the puffy, half the stuffy!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 194lbs

This mid layer is phenomenal! Extremely pack-able for hiking or climbing, and it is considerably more durable than I had originally thought it would be. I was pleasantly surprised as well when I discovered how warm it was in opposition to other puffy jackets I've had. Some of which were considerably larger and did not pack quite as well. 10/10 would wear along side Nicholas Cage in the opening scene of National Treasure. (Now you're going to Google "Opening Scene of National Treasure").

    All around performer!

Love this jacket. I own many jackets and coats, but wanted something that was light, warm, and weatherproof for my weekends. Having two little ones, I always have to carry a lot of stuff when we are walking around in the city and wanted something to accommodate it.

I have a hard time not grabbing it this whole winter. It’s been keeping me warm in NYC winter, blocks wind, light, and also fits great! I purchased the dark blue one and it works for going out to restaurants and bars.

I usually have issues with sleeve lengths in many jackets and this fits perfect too! My Patagonia and Marmot jackets always have an inch too long. Not this jacket!

Arcteryx Cerium LT hoody has an old version and a revised version which fixes issue(s) on the old version.
Is this item (ARC00P6) the revised version?
I am planning to buy a M size black or Pompeii/Matador.
