Bora AR 50L Backpack
True to Arc'teryx's function-first design philosophy, the Arc'teryx Men's Bora AR 50 Backpack is capable of carrying everything you need for weekend escapes and multi-day outings in the backcountry. Perhaps its most notable feature, the RotoGlide hip belt moves up and down with your body as you climb hillsides and descend steep trails. As its name suggests, this hip belt glides smoothly along a track (by approximately 1.25-inches). This small amount of movement prevents the hip belt from digging into your sides as you move along the trail.
To ensure a plush, supportive fit, the shoulder straps use dual-density foam that won't pack-out like the single-density foam on cheaper packs. For separation of wet items and outerwear, the front kangaroo pocket partitions gear from the pack's main contents. Also, there's a handy top lid pocket with a separate map compartment on the underside. Both the front kangaroo and top lid feature waterproof AC² nylon fabric, which prevents passing showers from soaking through and ruining sensitive items.
- Maximize comfort and convenience on multi-day outings
- Waterproof AC² nylon along areas prone to wetting out
- Top-loading with side-zip access and separate kangaroo pocket
- RotoGlide hip belt slides up and down to your body movements
- Gridlock shoulder straps are adjustable in both width and height
- Tegris back panel for ergonomic support and load stabilization
- Zippered lid pocket with separate map pocket at underside
- Attachment points for ice axes and trekking poles
- Item #ARC00NW

Amazing and comfortable pack
This pack is the one to get if you want a light, super comfortable, waterproof pack capable in a variety of situations. I took this with me to southern Utah for a multi-day/multi-activity trip, including backpacking to camp as well as floating down the San Rafael River. For hiking, this pack exceeded my expectations: fitting the pack to my body was easy and once I had it allowed me free range of movement and I never felt heavily encumbered. The hip belt was comfortable - I'm not sure I made much use of the RotoGlide feature though, as the hike was on relatively flat ground. I can attest that the bag is waterproof - after being splashed all day (strapped to my kayak), everything inside was still completely dry. Added bonus - the pack got a ton of compliments from my friends (some I would consider to be "very hardcore" in their outdoor pursuits) on how well the pack is designed and its durability.

Will a BV 500 cannisters fit horizonately in the pack? Are there straps on the bottom or loops in the bottom to strap a sleeping pad?
