    The best jacket out there.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 180lbs

This jacket is so warm and comfy. Its like walking around in a sleeping bag! The high side pockets are great for wearing a harness, and the stretchy sides allow tons of movement. I have one with the hood, and one without for different activities. The only complaint i have about the jacket is that the front zipper doesnt stay put unless its zipped up all the way. Overall, this is just about the best jacket out there.

    Love it

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 175lbs

This jacket is immediately comfortable and super light. So much so I was concerned about how it would do in cooler temperatures. As it turned out, it did at least as well as expected if not better. I have worn it in temps as low as 30 degrees with two thin shirts (not technical base layers) underneath with no problem. With a single shirt it handles the 40s just fine and can be worn comfortably in the 50s with an open zipper.

The one caveat is wind. The breathability panels on the side will allow some wind in if it is blowing strong enough. I’d guess this would need to be above 10 mph and more likely above 15 mph before it would become noticeable. So, with a strong wind the lowest temperature the jacket could withstand would be a little higher. Needless to say, if you are wearing this as a layer under a shell this would not be a consideration.

    Boyfriend Approved

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 115lbs

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He loves that it doesn't have a hood so on those cold tours he can wear it under his shell and not worry about the good bunching up. He also wears it around town when it's not snowy or raining. He is 5'10", 140lbs, Athletic build and the medium fits him really well.

    Good Fit, But Way Overpriced

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

I purchased this product based on overwhelming favorable reviews as a mid-layer. Granted it looks decent, but it’s nothing special, feels cheap and is over-priced The hooded verson’s neck opening is too large to function as an effective mid-layer, and the hood bunched in my shell. So, I bought the jacket version, which fits well, but lacks the hem tightener found on the hooded. Additionally, why an internal chest pocket on a mid-layer jacket?

Most Arc’teryx jackets fit poorly, but this fits an athletic body very well. It’s a true large with room to lift your arms and a normal sleeve length. If it was priced in the hundreds, I would say “yes”; however, unless you’re buying for the pterodactyl logo, save your money.

I really wanted it but ..

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 165lbs

The cut did not fit me.

I'm tall and thin with a normal muscular build. I tried the Medium which fit well over the chest, but the sleeves were too short and every move would bring them up on my arms

So I tried the Large, and it could fit two like me in it.

It's too bad, cause it's really really nice otherwise.

    Excellent layer for snowboarding

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 170lbs

Comfy, warm, and side ventilation, make this perfect for snowboarding or skiing.

My boyfriend hardly takes it off!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this as a gift for my boyfriend and he wears it everywhere. What he loves most is how soft and light it is given how much protection it gives him. It's super warm for its weight and it resists the wind fine during breezy days. Great for layering under a shell when skiing when the conditions are on the cold side.

    Great

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

The Atom LT jacket is great. I have used it almost daily in the October/November/December shoulder seasons for commuting. If its above freezing but below 50 degrees, the jacket is perfect: I never get cold (and rarely too warm) and never overheat with a backpack on due to the side vents; its wind resistant in light wind conditions and has DWR to keep from getting wet if there is some slight precipitation.

Looking forward to using it on the slopes as a midlayer when we get some snow.

    Versatile

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This item is my second of the Atoms. My first one is about 4 years old and is worn all year round, in and around the house. I am wearing it right now with nothing under it as I type. My new one is hanging in the closet and I won't wear it until my first one is worn to shreds. It may be a long time before my new one sees any action.

    Light, packable and warm

I bought this for my husband after we moved to Shanghai from Beijing where we had to deal with with warmer but more rainy weather. This jacket is perfect for fall, early winter and spring. It's not too sporty and smart design makes it versatile for most occasions.

      best mid layer ever

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

So I've been a fleece guy for years but decided to switch up my mid layer game this year . I ski mostly in the north east but get out west a few times as well. I've worn this in everything from 38 degrees/sunny to -10 /howling and the warmth, breath-ability, and overall comfort are just outstanding. The best part it, its so compact feels like not wearing anything under hard shell (Beta AR Jacket). Between the full length zipper and the pit zips on my shell I've never had better temperature regulation in my 40 years of skiing. Not inexpensive but worth every penny

      All Around Season Usable

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medim
      • Height: 5'11"
      • Weight: 155lbs

What's great about this jacket is the multi-seasonal use. The Atom Lt is light and warm which makes it super packable. It's great for colder summer nights, chilly Autumn/Spring days and a great underlayer for those Winter days. For me its a great underlayer for skiing because it is light, warm, and really breathable. I bought a Medium and its a great slim fit. Perfect in the arms but I prefer the torso length to be a bit longer. As an underlayer the torso fit is good. This is a high quality jacket you can use year round.

      Dad Approves!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: M

Bought this for my father for Christmas. He absolutely loves this jacket! Whether he's out and about running errands, exercising, or at work, this jacket is always with him. Gifted like an expert this year! Thanks Arc'teryx!

      Atom LT

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: large
      • Height: 6'2"
      • Weight: 200lbs

Very nice lightweight jacket. Good finish, stretch panels on sleeves and sides are great. Compared to a Mammut Foraker and went with the Foraker. The Atom is a great jacket and more 'finished', the Foraker is sportier and may have a little more give. The Atom LT is a trimmer fit than the Atom AR but the Foraker is a trimmer fit in the torso than the LT.

      Best piece I own

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

Honestly, I didn't want to love this coat. I was rooting against it for some reason. But I just can't not love it. I can ball it up, throw it in a bag, literally crush the thing, and it does it's job incessantly.

I run hot* but I've snowboarded on multiple days with a shell and this thing underneath in -30 weather, and been completely fine.

I was between this and the Patagonia nano, and I'm realyyyy glad I made this decision.

Great Piece, But Very Baggy Arms

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 150lbs

I really wanted to keep this jacket but the arms were extremely baggy. Not a good look.

      Every Day Jacket

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: medium
      • Height: 60'
      • Weight: 140lbs

I bought this jacket to get me through the mild winter of the Southern US, however I have since moved to Edinburgh, Scotland and I have still worn it almost every day. Although this jacket is not waterproof it does do alright through most storms at least on shorter journeys. It does well to cut down the wind as long as long as it is coming toward you or at your back, the vents on the side make it a bit dangerous when the wind is coming from the side. The zipper pockets are great for storage and keeping your hands warm. The sleeves are finished with a great stretchy material making the cuffs incredibly comfortable and they also work well with gloves. The inside jacket pocket is the perfect size for a wallet.

      Great piece

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

      • Size Bought: large

      • Weight: 198lbs

I debated whether to get this and finally decided to try it out. I use it alone or as a mid layer under my LEAF Drac jacket. Overall very nice, not as warm as my Cerium and Thorium, but its close to it.... and its pillow soft. Wish it has a hem cord.
