    Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket

Who needs a multi-tool when you've got the ultra-versatile Arc'teryx Men's Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket working just the same? Metaphors aside, you might want to actually bring along a multi-tool (just in case), but for breathable insulation on any and all alpine adventures, you've got the jacket equivalent with this high-performing insulator.

Ski touring, winter hiking, frigid ice climbing routes—the Atom LT can handle it all with a durable and lightweight Tyono fabric exterior, while the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment fends off light rain and snowfall to keep you dry when overcast weather decides to throw a little moisture your way. To bolster its adaptability, the Atom LT is equipped with gusseted underarms and Polartec Power Stretch side panels to ensure an unimpeded range of motion whether you're wearing it as a midlayer or an external shell. Perhaps most importantly, though, is the Atom LT's synthetic Coreloft insulation. This breathable synthetic insulation not only retains warmth in wet weather, but also offers maximum thermal efficiency without compromising the compressibility of the fibers. A StormHood offers added coverage when your beanie isn't enough, and the adjustable hem provides a personalized, snug fit to keep the cold out.

    • An ultra-versatile insulator for all of your cold-weather pursuits
    • Coreloft insulation provides breathable warmth for morning touring
    • Durable shell has DWR treatment to shed alpine precipitation mixes
    • Stretchy side panels help you move on chilly weather climbs
    • Fixed hood slides easily over your beanie on windy summits
    • Adjustable hem seals in the warmth and shuts out the cold
    • Hand pockets give you quick access to energy bars
    • Item #ARC00UV

    I'd Buy it 100 Times

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 170lbs

By far the most expensive "hoodie" I've ever bought and taking it out of the packaging I must admit, I thought I may have been duped. Trying it on I found a perfectly fitting, highly mobile, well designed piece. There are over 150 5 star ratings so I don't feel like I can add much more literature around how amazing this thing really is. I almost never take it off! My wife keeps it frigid around the house, I wear it there. I sit by a drafty window in my office, I wear it there. Running errands around town in Salt Lake winter, I wear it. As a midlayer on the coldest snowboarding days, I wear it. This thing is worth every penny, I'm buying a backup and getting my wife one. I am 6', 170lbs, with a 34" inseam (long arms). Typically sleeves are to short for medium tops and large swallows me but the fit on this is like it's tailored. I'm wearing the medium. They should call this hoody the Arc-Teryx gateway drug because now I want just about everything in their lineup.

    Love at second sight

I've been looking at this since October because this looks sleek! When I got it I started having doubts because I'm used to having an insulated jacket with a quilted design. So this was a change. Its very warm. Throwing the jacket on brings instant warmth. And it looks freaking sexy. This is a cut, good-looking jacket that can be worn in any situation. School, sleeping, climbing, running. The best is going to an event where everyone is wearing shirts and ties and suits, because throwing this jacket over a collared shirt and tie with dress slacks is such a good look. (nice flex) And, youre warm.
Arcteryx nailed it with this one.

    Warm lightweight jacket!

Both stylish and comfortable. The insulation is incredibly warm for how lightweight the jacket is. It fits true to size and is sleek enough to wear to work. Highly recommend!

    Versatile Winter Mid-Layer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

Everyone (almost) in the ackcountry office has this so naturally it caught my attention. I bought this to wear for the short 2 minute walks I have between car and store or car and work without having to delayer once I got inside. I also use this for a heavier midlayer when ski touring. I got it a week ago and I have it worn everyday since. No one seems to mind!

Nice Jacket but Not worth the Price

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Nice looking jacket but def overpriced for what it is. Also the fit is a little different as they intended this jacket to be worn as a mid layer so the front of the jacket is pretty short. 5'9 about 160 and i wear a medium in most things but i had to exchange the jacket for a large as i wanted to wear it more as an outer layer. If you want more of a street wear look def size up.

    Awesome

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Husband bought this and it has become a staple for him. He bought the Caribou color and it looks great on him - it's slightly darker than the photo shows. It fits really well and looks great - he brings it as a warm layer on backcountry tours, but can also dress it up for the office. Great piece.

Love this jacket and this brand. It feels light and comfortable and very comfortable for casual wearing and light hiking activities. I would recommend to others.

Gave this as a gift to my brother and he loves it! Super versatile! It his go-to jacket for outdoor activities or just walking around town! Get on!

    Favorite Jacket!

Arc’teryx Atom LT hooded jacket is one of my favorite pieces. It is super cozy and keeps me warm but feels light and comfortable. This one I bought large and it fits great. 5’9” 189. It is great for layering with the Beta AR which I got in a size Medium.

    So good

I have the women's version and got this jacket for my dad because I'm obsessed. He LOVES it. He did need to size up as it is pretty slim fitting. It is great for wearing when he's hiking since it's active insulation. It breathes great while still being warm. He likes how high it zips up to keep the wind off his neck and from going down the jacket.

I had to change my wardrobe...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'7"

It’s been 6 weeks now since I’ve had this jacket... I don’t think there has been a single day I haven’™t worn it for at least an hour. On the ride home, in 3ft of snow, morning runs, work, school... somewhere in there each day it sees use. I still can’t believe how light this thing is, it fits me very well (size XS), I’m 5’7” and around 130lb, (lean/twiggish). It breathes well, does surprisingly well against rain, it’s not too warm on its own, if you put a decent shell on you can sweat in -10F with minimal effort. I’™m a big fan of the non-Michelin man look, coreloft is some amazing stuff. Seems pretty durable, feels like a second skin. The only issue I have with this mid-layer is that I‘ve had to change my daily wardrobe... I’m having a hard time not wearing this thing...

    The Reviews Aren't Lying

This thing, on first impression, looks good but doesn't seem like much. You feel it and you're all like, "Hmmm Its too light, not reassuring" or whatever. You slip this sucker on and bam. You're hooked. Its the warmest thing you've got so far. "How can this be? It's so light but it's warm and water is just running off!" You leave it on all the time and you find that it's perfectly comfortable if you leave it unzipped but once you zip it up, 30 seconds later you're feeling the heat slowly come to you and it's magic. How can this possibly be... Arc'teryx has done something here that's just magical. If you're doubtful, just see that it has 148 5 star reviews and 0 1 or 2 star reviews.. it might tell you something

    Outstanding Jacket

This is the first Arc'teryx jacket I have ever owned and I now see what all the hype is about. I love this jacket! With the right layering it's not too warm for 60 degrees nor too cold for 30 degrees. It has all the comfort of a sleeping bag, but it feels weightless. I couldn't believe how warm it keeps me for how light it is. Pretty amazing! A few nice features of this jacket are how compact it gets for packing for a trip and how breathable it is when you wear it on adventures. Everyone who enjoys spending time outside should own one of these jackets! You won't be disappointed.

One word comes to mind when reviewing the Atom LT and that is Versatile. This jacket can be worn by itself on cool fall and spring days or layered with a shell or heavier coat on cold winter days. I wear this hiking, skiing, climbing and just out to the bars. I can't recommend this jacket enough.

    Versatile

There is no better layering piece than this right here. A lightweight synthetic jacket with a stretch fleece underarm creates a perfect mid layer option. This is literally the best option and everyone should own one!

The one jacket that everyone should own

I gave this as a christmas present to my boyfriend, and he was so stoked. He said that it was warm and lightweight, but still breathes really well. You can wear it as a mid-layer or on it's own. Arcteryx makes top-quality gear, and this jacket is no exception. (I have the women's version, and I wear it every day). Buy this jacket! 110% worth the money

    Love at first sight

Light and very comfortable, not bulky and breaths very well. I am looking very much forward to getting out there and putting it through all the fun. First Arc'teryx I've owned, and I'm starting to understand why they are considered among the best.

I can't seem to take this jacket off. There's a reason that everyone in the office ends up owning one. Super warm for how light it is, incredibly comfy, endless usefulness in terms of different adventures to wear it on. Recently I've had it on while night skiing with only a shell over it and a basic baselayer under, and I've been nice and toasty warm the whole time!

    Essential

Bought this for my husband, the fit was just as expected. This jacket works great as a mid layer for adventures or as an outer jacket when layered with a sweater. Great piece to add to the collection!

Can this jacket work for temperatures 0-20 degrees under a shell?

Hey Ben! It really depends on what you're doing and what else you have on. The name of the game is layering and I'd recommend having a merino or some other form of baselayer on at those temperatures. The more you plan on moving around the less you need in terms of layers but if you stop moving, then you lose lots of heat production and such. This jacket is certainly a great start for adventures below freezing, but depending on what you're doing, you'll want more. If you have any other questions or want more clarification, feel free to reach out!
