    A single-layer solution.

Prepare to eat powder for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Arc’teryx Women’s Airah Jacket. Underneath the waterproof Gore-Tex shell, famous for its high-performance breathability, lies the key to this jacket’s powder munching abilities. Polartec Alpha insulation, originally developed for the U.S. Special Forces, helps regulate body temperature during both energized and inactive activities by supporting rapid moisture evaporation and heat retention. This noteworthy combination of breathability helps eliminate layering and, coincidentally, the excess weight that was holding you back from going for one more run. And to top it all off, the Airah is equipped with a full set of backcountry-essential features including a helmet-compatible hood, underarm zips, and a snap closure powder skirt.

    • A comprehensive jacket for women in the backcountry
    • Two-layer shell brings the first course of breathability to the table
    • Air-permeable insulation dishes up the entrée of breathability
    • Fully sealed seams help to compound water resistance
    • Articulated construction provides freedom of movement
    • Water tight zippers help to prevent leaks of moisture
    • Chin guard provides a soft safeguard to prevent skin irritation
    • Adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs help to reduce bulk
    • Item #ARC00OI

    Fantastic!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Purchased this for my wife who just started skiing and wanted something warm. We got the small and it worked great - not too baggy but still enough room to insulate underneath if needed (she's 5'2", 110 lbs). Certainly not the cheapest option, but it has been a fantastic jacket for her.

    Worth every penny!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased and returned about 25 ski jackets (at a range of price points) before finding this one, and it was worth the wait. I used to ski in a down Patagonia jacket because I am always cold. I wanted to switch to a more durable and weatherproof shell, but I was worried about needing too many layers to stay warm. This jacket is the perfect solution. I recently wore it skiing in 10F weather with a down Marmot midlayer, and I was toasty. I would probably opt for a fleece midlayer next time to cool off a little bit.

I love the length and color (I got the red), and its very lightweight. Not bulky at all. I tried the black, but its more of a navy/grey and didn't match any of my black ski gear. Wished they would have had a true black, but I'm very happy with the red.

I'm 5'7" and 150lbs, I wanted a roomier fit, and bought the Large. I tried a medium on in a store, and it was a little snug in the hips. I wear a size 28 in jeans, and not especially curvy.

This jacket was a substantial investment, but so far I'm very happy with my purchase.

    Awesome resort coat.

I got this jacket for my mom as a gift and she loves it. She needed a new resort coat and loves that the insulation is warm but not bulky. It keeps her comfortable through gnarly Northwest storms and fits over a puffy when it's super cold.

    Great Everyday Cold WeatherJacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was a gift. Wonderful jacket. Great everyday jacket in the Berkshires of Massachusetts where temperatures routinely drop sub-freezing. Stylish and fits true to size.
