Seriously in Love

I've put it through the wringer

These shoes have been amazing. I used to wear a standard trail shoe for trail running. I was not sure if these would be a replacement for a running shoe, or if it would only be useful as a light hiker. For me, they are good for both! Everything I run is off-road, w some steep stuff built in, and hammer down descents. These things are just comfortable. The tread on the shoes are like glue, and can handle pretty good angles. I typically wear a 12 in running shoes. I bought a 12, and it is a tiny bit long, but I just wear a slightly thicker sock and have no issues. The Euro size on a US 12 shows up as 46 2/3. One other note, I have a narrow foot. Wide feet may very well not work with these shoes.

I ordered an 8.5 US, and have narrow feet (not exceptionally, just average width never requiring wide shoes.) However, the EU size I received was 40 2/3 while I usually need a 39 EU. So I think their conversion is pretty far off. I'd need an 8 if I were to keep them. Also, zero arch support. The heel drop sinks in to cup the heel, but gets lost in the totally flat arch- it just stays low and flat throughout the foot bed. I do, however, love the fixed tongue and the goretex sole was grippy yet semi-flexible. Lastly, the laces are too skinny to get a snug closure- again, bony ankles. So while I loved the padding in the tongue, the laces still made it uncomfortable. So in all, not up to snuff for $185. They're going back.
