Great Mini all purpose pack

I've put it through the wringer

I have used this for everything from running and hiking to city travel treks and it performs great. Not only does it hold a 2L reservoir, but it has 4 places you can attach small carabiners for extra bottles, bags, rain jacket, and lens. It will hold the water, lunch, a full size dslr with mid size zoom lens + second prime lens with ease and lightweight long sleeve baselayer or stuffed rain/wind jacket. For running it is good mainly for the water, snacks, and a small camera and phones as like any pack the contents can stir and move while in motion if not compressed in some way. I like it for travel use because it is so small it does not bump into people or things and you blend in more with it and it makes a great "covert" camera bag that is not easily opened by pickpockets. I have put 100k miles on mine if you count the globe spins on flights... about 6k miles on foot over the 3 years i have had it and it still looks new

Hiking, not running

I've used it several times

My wife and I both use this pack for day hiking. The plethora of straps allow for a good snug fit. The elastic allows the pack to sit close to the body no matter what's in the pack. We've clipped crampons on the outside a few times when the weather warmed up - seems like they were going to rub a whole in the pack, but haven't yet. Interior pockets are sufficient for keeping snacks and keys separate from the dog's water bowl or jackets. When she's used it for short 5-8k trail runs, she's gotten rub rashes every time. Just doesn't work that well with an active woman's frame.

Great Pack

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this as a gift for someone and they loved it. Plenty of room and light

Fast is...

I've put it through the wringer

How you can move in it. Non restrictive low profile... camel back 2l antidote fits in it well... hold 70oz/2l water pack, dsrl camera, shirt/light jacket, and full on the go energy type lunch or snack...

Great pack

Great pack. I used it once on a day hike and a couple times casually. I was able to pretty securely strap items onto it and still keep it stable. Initially the straps chafed my pits a bit, but moving the sternum strap down fixed it. The construction is superb and seems like it would last quite awhile. The bungee straps on the outside are especially useful. I actually ended up returning it since it was actually just a bit too small for my purposes. I was hoping to be able to fit a 13" MacBook Air in it along with a flexible binder, water, warming, and etc. It fits the Mac well but because the shape is narrow it distorts the shape in a way that causes everything else to not fit so well. For the price I was hoping to have a goto pack for everything.

Great light pack

I've used this thing all over the place, from kicking around Hawaii, to long day hikes, and plenty of mountain biking. Despite being so thin and light, it's held up well through low branch encounters, sketchy descents and being overstuffed for carry-on. The back is way more vented for riding then anything else I've encountered. I'm impressed, I got rid of my camelbaks, and use this as a solution to many problems. As a side note, I use this to carry my DSLR and lenses pretty regularly, and have never had any issues.

AeroForm Mesh

a 70x magnification view of the back panel. Doesn't absorb moisture, and lets lots of air move through. Cool.

Your Arc'teryx Aerios 10 ships from right over there... warehouse view from Mount Olympus. West Slab ascent.

Another great pack.

If you're looking for a fantastic day pack, I'd highly recommend the Aerios. There's plenty of room inside to hold your gear, and the stretch mesh panels are good for holding everything from water bottles to digital cameras.

Does anyone know if this will fit an old...

Does anyone know if this will fit an old 13" MacBook in it? Though I'm not trying to use this as an all around backpack, I'm hoping that it could fit my computer (and nothing else) should I decide to bike over to a coffee shop.

Unfortunately, it does not fit "an old 13" MacBook". I use to have a really old MacBook (2006) and it does not fit in this pack. I recently updated to a new 2013 11" MacBook Air and to my delightful surprise it fits into this back pack! Hope that helps!

would this pack be suitable for a 2 year...

would this pack be suitable for a 2 year old as it is so small?

its not really a backpack for that application, but it might work. as it is not meant for a toddler, but a small daypack for adults, i would not be surprised if the shoulder straps are too far apart for it to realistically function in your application.

I tried with my kid, won't work too well as the shoulder straps are two far apart and also the torso doesn't. This is hydration pack and has longer profile.
