Dry on the outside, dry on the inside.

The Arc'teryx Women's A2B Commuter Pants are water-resistant ergonomically designed to meet the requirements of urban commuters. The cotton and polyester twill has been treated with a Schoeller 3XDRY treatment that both repels rain and stains on the exterior, and also wicks perspiration from your skin quickly and comfortably. That's right, these casual-looking pants are nearly impervious to moisture, keeping them lightweight and functional for the urban cyclist. When pedaling in low light, just flip out the reflective surfaces cleverly hidden inside the back pockets and at the cuffs and continue on safely.

    Great apart from short rise

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 12
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 165lbs

These pants have a great slim fit and feel great when wearing (despite feeling really lightweight in hand); however, the length between the crotch and top is absurdly short, especially for their intended use (bicycling). Thighs, waist, and length were all great but these caused *ridiculous* camel toe. Too bad...I really wanted to love them because I need a pant for those days when it's sprinkling but I don't want to wear rainpants but I had to return. Unless you're fine wearing them below your hips, look elsewhere.

    Nice features great quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these not for cycling in particular, but mostly for hiking. I found the fit to be pretty great - going off the sizing chart led me to a perfect size in the waist and thighs (and my hamstrings are fairly large and tend to be an issue in most pants). The gusseted crotch is a great feature in general.

I took these on a tropical trip and found them to be nice and durable for jungle hiking. I found them to be less hot than regular denim, though they aren't as breathable as linen, or something like that.
The only part that is a little weird are the bottom cuffs, I find them a little snug, but I suppose that's to prevent them from getting in the way for cyclists. The cuffs ride up when I'm in my boots, which led to some mosquito bites around the ankles if I didn't tuck them into my socks.

    Great On Bike Pant...But,

and they're are 2 big ones: the front pockets are useless, barely fit half your fist, and the waist is so SHORT, it feels like they were modeled after a teenager's junior sizes (versus a woman's proportions). only petite women may have no issues with the fit of these, but for me, i had to go WAY up to size 14, when i typically wear 8-12 b/c other reviewers stated they were a full size small. but the waist is now huge and my belt is cinched almost the to last hole on bike and next to last hole off bike in order to keep the waist from falling down. why i kept them? fabric is spectacular and everything you have come to love about ArcT. soft, stretchy, albeit too warm for 70 and above, they will feel ideal at about 50 degrees i think. there is a nice cross weave and slight (barely there) sheen to give them a high end look. in certain lighting they look almost bluish grey. there are nice reflective bits on BOTH left and right cuffs, and there is pocket reflection which requires rolling the rear pocket corners to activate, which will be handy once it's dark in the mornings. rear pockets are deep/wide enough to fit my iPhone 5SE, but not that well b/c they're also stretchy rather than being taut. if not for my big butt, the phone might fall out. legs fit fine, slim, and no bagging in knees after a 6 mile ride to work. if the other A2B pants for women are made of this, it would be worth picking them up - they fit better.
