I have a closet full of LL Bean flannel, from Portugal, brushed 8x on each side, according to Bean. These are made in Morocco, which puts it in a cotton class perhaps better than Egyptian or Peruvian. It is heavier than a Bean chamois shirt by weight, the softness is the definition of luxury and the design details are very carefully thought out. I have 5 colors of this year's version and it might be the only flannel I wear all winter, prior ArborWear shirts included. Warm, soft, well made and designed...is there a better looking, more comfortable flannel than the Indigo version anywhere? It's in a class by itself and I look forward to wearing one every day. ArborWear used to be made in China, which was sturdy but not sturdy AND luxurious. Pair it with SmartWool baselayers and you're living in style and comfort!
