    Function Incredible; Durability Terrible

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love the magnetic function that allows you to quickly use one hand to close the warmer gap over your nose; an essential function in high altitude Colorado weather.

However, I reached only about 10 days with this mask until the inner mesh behind the breather holes simply fell out. This compromises the durability of the holes and they eventually join together as the material rips between them.

Also, after about 20 days, the nose bridge that holds the mask to the goggles completely snapped in half when I pulled down to disengage the mask. When I pulled the nose bridge piece out to inspect it, I found that only 1 of the 3 magnets was still in place, the others had fallen out of the bridge and stuck to the remaining magnet, which is likely why the bridge snapped in half when I pulled on the mask (Force was not evenly distributed across the bridge piece).

    Lightweight but magnets are backwards

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wanted something lighter than what came with the Anon m4s because I’d always overheat and my goggles would fog. I’ve used it once so far this season in 15 to 25 degree weather and it worked perfect (no fog and still kept me warm). I’d use this in colder weather plus a light baklava and be fine. Only downside is the fact that the magnets are backwards and not compatible with my M4s so I needed to swap out the magnetic nose piece, which is annoying especially for $40.

    It Really Sticks!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was looking to pick up a new pair of goggles and stumbled across Anon's sweet system for their balaclavas! I was skeptical about the design especially for those days you really want to shred, but it held up perfectly. I was going up into the mountains on a cooler day, about -6C (20F), thought this might do the trick. It definitely did! I was able to feel my nose at the end of the day. A heads up is there will be some excess fabric, don't forget to tuck it in somewhere, there will be some spots that will show skin if you don't. One thing I was not pleased with is when I was winded, I wasn't able to get in a deep breath without sucking the whole balaclava in... Either than that, sweet color combinations and plenty of it to keep me warm.

Super Easy Light Weight Face mask

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These with Anon's MFI googles make for the nicest and most pleasurable face mask experience I have ever had. No more stuffing a head sock under my googles and causing my googles to have the foam padding damaged or having my googles fog up from my breath.
