    Tack on The Loop.

The sight of your house says the run is finished, but your body thinks it's time to add on The Loop. You know, that neighborhood mile you tack on when everything's cranking and you feel like you could run all day. You love Loop days, and you'll have more of them with the Altra Torin 3.5 Knit Running Shoe. Combining a natural running motion with lots of supportive cushioning, this shoe is Altra's most popular road runner for a reason.

Like all of Altra's shoes, the Torin 3.5 focuses on the natural movements of your foot and body to give you maximum performance and a healthy foot. A Footshape toe box allows your toes to spread out naturally for more speed and comfort, while midsole and outsole technology match that same flex so your foot can move where it wants to and have the support to match.  Like all of Altra's shoes, the Torin 3.5 Knits have a Zero Drop platform to give you a natural, low-impact stride during your whole run. New to the Torin is a knit upper that's engineered to give you a sock-like feel for a more comfortable feel as you grind out long miles on the road. There's also an A-Bound cushioning system that reduces ground impact and delivers plenty of return for a more energized stride, so you can cruise through that last loop with ease.

The worst shoes I’ve ever owned

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 14
    • Height: 6'6"
    • Weight: 205lbs

Let me start this off by saying I am a big fan of Altra, and, even though these are the biggest “swing-and-a-miss” of my shoe purchasing adult life, I plan on buying their equipment again. The Torino’s are bad in every facet. The knit upper, while comfortable and breathable, does not provide nearly enough security on angled ground resulting in two of the worst ankle sprains I’ve ever had. The foam is very soft and breaks down extremely quickly, and for reasons I don’t understand or have the ability to explain, hurt my feet. I have worn their more minimalist trail shoes into the ground without issue, five miles in these and I’m in pain.

They make great shoes, look at those instead.

    Great shoes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 13
    • Height: 6'4"
    • Weight: 220lbs

Theses shoes are awesome! They are super comfy, nice to run in, and nice it just walk around in! It runs a little small, I usually wear like a 12-12.5 but these I had to get a 13 and I think it’s just because of how the tow box is shaped
