Will not buy a 4th pair
3 pairs of Torins and a pair of FWDExperience and they have all split on the same side in the same spot. Like like the fit and feel of the shoes, but Quality is no good at all. My latest pair had 136 miles and have started the splitting/tearing process. Horrible waste of $$$.

I had to go a half size smaller but wow they feel good.
These are the best shoes for my bad knees. At first, these needed a little breaking in, but now they are like butter on my feet. Love them and the other 2 pairs I bought. I have 15 pair of Altras now and I wear them everyday.

I highly recommend this shoe
I had both big toes amputated and titanium screws put in 3rd 4th & 5th toes for hammer toe . I'm amazed at the stability and comfort of the torin 7

I would rather have the 6
I like the 6 better. This isn't anything like the 6.

Close but not quite
These are incredibly comfortable and they look great, but they crush the top of my feet - a real deal breaker

Durability decreased with this model
I have worn Torin's for years. Really enjoy them. I enjoyed these too, but the heal blew out in two months. Very comfortable and supportive but disappointing lifespan.

Would not buy again
When standing still or walking the shoe has a big crease that agitates my middle toe and one next to pinky. Bothered me so much I went to return them but since they weren't "new" I couldn't.

Best shoe I've owned
I'm taking the time to write this review because I feel the reviews on Altra's site skew negative. It's a fundamental problem with customer feedback- happy customers generally won't reach out to let you know they're satisfied, while unsatisfied customers will. I moved to Altra from Brooks. I loved my Brooks, but a bunion on my right foot meant it was time to switch to something with a wider toebox. My first pair of Altras was the FWD Experience, which fit my foot like a glove and are an absolute joy to run in. The only limitation with the FWD Experience, in my opinion, is the cushion. Long runs left me feeling like I had been through a full wash and dry cycle. Because of this, I wanted to try a shoe with Egomax foam. Enter the Torin 7. The Torin 7 is the best running shoe I've ever owned. It is astonishing how much better I feel on long runs with this shoe. Low back pain, bunion pain, knee pain- all gone. The switch to zero-drop required integrating some achilles/calf stretching in my mobility routine, but beyond that, it's been seamless. The gripes I see from others on this shoe (and really all Altra shoes at the moment) are about durability. I have roughly 275 miles on these shoes and the material has held up very well. I will say that the Egomax foam now feels 'dead'- I feel the impact of my runs more, I no longer get that 'keep going' sensation with each stride, and some slight niggles have started to appear. That being said, I think it's widely accepted by the running community that shoes are only going to feel as good as they do out of the box for something around 300 miles. It's unfortunate with how much running shoes cost, and I certainly wish it weren't the case, but that lifespan isn't something I'm going to complain about or fault Altra for given the state of the industry. Without hesitation, I will be buying another pair of the Torin 7 to replace my current pair. My one 'wish' is that Altra somehow integrated Egomax with their 'Experience' line. While I find zero-drop to be a viable platform (and admittedly, perhaps advantageous in the 'injury prevention' department), even the slight 4mm drop in my FWD Experience adds a perceptible 'go' factor that I missed from the Torin.

Happy Toes.
My toes are not crowded together. The shape is close to the shape of my feet. I wish all types of shoes and boots were made like this.

An upgrade on the Torin.
Have had other Torins before. The most comfortable version yet!
