Comfortable out of the box, cushion not durable.
These were comfortable and required no break in and the uppers have been fairly durable. My only small gripe is with the durability of the midsole. I'm a heavier gal and I put a TON of miles on my shoes so I generally only expect them to last about 3 months anyway, however these started losing cushion in 2 months. While they were supporting me I loved them, but at almost exactly 2 months I started noticing the characteristic knee and shin pain that always tells me my midsole is starting to compress. Not quite as long as I'd have liked to get out of them, but I'm still happy.

love this shoe
I walk 3 miles on asphalt and loose dirt every day with my German Shep dogs and love the foot shape of the toe box and how my toes aren't getting crunched anymore, i used to wear nike, never again.

Falls apart
I was so excited about this shoe because my past sneakers have all pinched my toes. The open toe box was definitely a relief! But over less than 3 months of running 1-3 times a week (mostly indoors), the shoes are FALLING APART. The seams are splitting, the rubber is peeling, the sole is worn down. They look like my other sneakers have after 3-4 years of heavy outdoor use. I can't believe I spent nearly $100 on shoes that didn't even last 3 months.

Wouldn't buy this again
This is my 5th pair of Torins, and the Torin 3.5 definitely runs small. I always wear a size 11 and these hurt my feet. I have tried wearing them without socks and they still hurt. Unfortunately, I will now have to look for a different shoe.

No more knee and back pain!!
Awesome shoes. I used the run in Brooke's all the time and now I'm obsessed with these. I've had an ACL repair & stress fracture in my lumbar region so running has become difficult as I excel to longer distances and faster times. These shoes have minimized the amount of pressure I feel in my back & knees while I'm running. I'm 23 years old and can say I won't run in another shoe ever again.

Sizing feels small
I bought these online. The cushion is fantastic and they feel comfortable. However, the shoes feel slightly tight on my feet and there is insufficient room at the front of my toes. I have to return them unfortunately.

Disappointing
Customer service recommended this shoe because they have stopped making the Intuition 4.5. They need to stop recommending it as an alternative because it is not. Even though it is more expensive it is not near as comfortable. May have to look for another brand since they no longer make my Intuition. I'm always curious why companies change good things and loose customers.

Perfect amount of cushion while still light!
On my 3rd pair of this exact shoe. LOVE the Torins! I like these slightly better then the Torin knits because they seem to have a little more structure. Wore these in a 62k race on crushed gravel and they held up great!

Not a fan of the updates. Looking for another shoe.
I've worn Altra Torins for years, both the 2.0 and the 2.5. I had to size up because I kept losing toenails, and the older models weren't available anymore. I tried the 3.5 and it felt a half size small, even though I'd gone up a half size. I can't size up more because there's no such thing as a women's 11.5. Altra has added so much padding that it doesn't even feel like a Torin anymore. SO disappointed! I need a new shoe.

Kinda ugly but super comfortable
These were my first Torins and after having worn minimally cushioned shoes for years, I was looking for something with a little extra cushion. I tried these on at my local running store (in black) and thought they were probably the ugliest running shoes I had ever tried on and debated not getting them for that reason. But they were so comfortable! I have narrow feet, but still love the wide toebox. I've worn mine for almost 300 miles and they are still going strong. I've taken these on some non-technical trails and they handle pretty well for a road shoe. I also have a pair of the Torin Knit which is equally comfortable.
