Timp 4 Trail Running Shoe
Altra named and designed the Timp 4 Trail Running Shoe after one of the largest mountains in Utah's Wasatch Range. It's ready to take on all fifteen miles of the trail reaching the summit, which has everything from long, flat dirt over some small streams to rocky ridges and summit scrambles. Altra improved the fit this season without altering the zero drop and wide forefoot that we all like about Altra.

Eases tendon pain in foot
I walk a lot for exercise. My extensor hallicis longus tendon always gets sore in other running shoes. But never if I wear the TIMP 4. So, that's all I walk in now.

Good fit but poor durability
Some of the most comfortable shoes I've had, but started to fall apart in less than a month. Lateral toebox of right shoe started to blow out in less than 100 miles.

Tissue paper is tougher
My 6th pair of Altras over 12 years... but I should have returned them after the first run... thin netting on the outsole goes after the first run... uppers had holes within a month...

Comfortable but fall apart and wear out fast
Used these for light waking. Wore out in less than 6 months of minimal use. Tried getting warranty, was told they had too much wear. I have Vans that lasted 5 years....Cheap shoes and poor customer service at Altra.

I wouldn't buy these again
I bought the Timp 4 against my better judgment because I knew that mesh glued around the side of the sole would look trashed after the first run, and I was correct. The shoe is comfortable and I still wear them running and hiking but appearance wise they looked like they had 100 plus miles on them after a 5 mile trail run. Glad to see Altra learned from that disaster and didn't put fish net around the Timp 5 design.

1309 W ELMDALE AVENUE #2
Upper already de-laminating after 2nd run (road 20miles). NOT durable. Can anyone recommend an alternate zero-drop shoe? Had bad experiences Timp and Escalante - uppers for both fell apart quick.

first ever Timps
feels like there is 5mm of drop this it's sold as zero. it's a taller stack height than the lone peak line by 4mm. material is way better than current lone peak line. lone peak 4.5 is STILL the best
