Olympus 5.0
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 7
I have 90 miles on them and they are holding tough. This is my first set of 5.0, But, started in the 2.5 edition years ago. I have neuropathy and Olympus are my go to running shoes. These seem to be smaller than my previous editions. And I'm not a fan of the rubber tongue, but I like the split in the tongue to keep the rubs down.

Right shoe is coming apart in two places
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

I’ve only had these shoes for four months, wearing mostly sandals and water shoes during the summer, these Olympus 5.0’s should not be falling apart. Sadly this is the second pair of the same shoe (only difference was the color) that is coming apart. Both are the same issue.

The laces are way too short!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 9
- Height:
- 5' 5"
- Weight:
- 125
I worked through two pairs of Olympus 4.0 that I really liked and just got a new pair of the 5.0. I put them on and - holy heck - the laces are insanely short. Like, I can't do a heel lock lace and a double knot - too short! For reference, I pulled the laces out of my 4.0s and they are 2 inches longer. It's *really* disappointing to pay this much for a pair of running shoes and they aren't functional because the laces are too short. And customer service at Altra is worthless. I'm pretty sure a bot responded to my email because the content was almost identical to the chat-bot's. Come on, Altra.
