Bring these back in this color- the new version is trash.
This was perfect. I want it again. Company seems to be going to the dogs. 2019-2022 was perfect. Altra is trying to compete against hiking boots- it can't. Bring this product and this color back.

Why did they change the colors to very vibrant?
Ok so, I'm not sure why they changed the colors on the new Hiker 2, but these companies are all making these shoes into vibrant women's shoes with these silly colors. Bring back manly colors, please!!

Give us more colors!
I would own four pairs of this shoe if it came in a bunch of color combos, but only own the green ones. Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. Thick tread for demanding hiking/scrambling but super light

Most comnfotable hikers
If you're looking for a comfortable and reliable pair of trail hiking shoes, the Altra Lone Peak's are definitely worth considering. These shoes are designed to provide support and cushioning, making them ideal for long distance walks on uneven terrain. One of the standout features of the Altra Lone Peak's is their overall comfort. The shoes are built with a wide toe box that allows your toes to spread out and relax, which can reduce the risk of blisters and foot fatigue. The midsole is also well-cushioned, providing plenty of shock absorption for a smoother ride. Another thing to note about the Altra Lone Peak's is that they can feel a little big. This is because they're designed to provide extra room in the toe box, which can make them feel a bit loose around the heel and midfoot. However, this is a small tradeoff for the added comfort and support that these shoes provide. Overall, if you're in the market for a high-quality pair of trail running shoes, the Altra Lone Peak's are definitely worth trying out. They're comfortable, supportive, and built to withstand even the most rugged terrain. So whether you're training for a trail race or just looking for a reliable pair of hiking shoes, the Altra Lone Peak's are definitely worth considering.

Love this boot. 5 star. But...
Love, love, love this boot. I've worn them everywhere since I got them for Christmas. Color, fit, size, price, comfort all fantastic. We spend lots of time in Damascus VA and used boots on both VA Creeper Trail and Appalacian Trail. And they're sharp enough to wear to work. I have a wide toe splay going on and these are perfect. No tightness when hiking. Definitely would buy again. The heel pull tab did break one one boot, but I get most of blame because I didn't I wa lazy and didn't loosen laces very well. Super glued back on and never would know.

First pair...won't be the last
As I've gotten older, I've been getting some knee pain and plantar pain. Not when I wear these! Plus, they are so comfortable and get lots of compliments.

For someone else(for me again if they came in wide-with)
Comparing photographs, you be the judge I have them in my possession I know for myself for my feet(the LP7 hiker-2 -vs- Tushar ) and compared to LP5 wide, and the Be-lenka ranger and Nevada , and the Sofstar switchback. The design construction is excellent but the forefoot and toebox needs to be more anatomically oblique~ more ~ergonomically correct to fit a range of feet; and come in a wide version. The good news is,! at-least there is someone making across the board footwear that shaped like a normal human healthy foot versus "pointed toes in high heels". Happy New Year's thanks for reading:-D

ALTRA NEEDS TO FIND A MORE DURABLE PRODUCT FOR THEIR SOLES
Altra shoes are great for the issues I have with my feet and legs. Ive have bought at least ten pair in the past 3 years. They help me with balance and stability. Their downfall is the poor quality of the material they use for the insoles and soles of the shoes. The inserts become paper thin. Altra does not off insole replacements by them selves. new the soles have conservative cushioning that quickly collapses. will i buy more? without a doubt. Other features of the shoes out weigh the problem with the quality of the soles.
