Love, Love, love these wide hiking shoes
I have a really hard time with hiking shoes fitting my wide, wide feet. I also have bunions, probably from hiking so much. They have soft sides and toes, so they don't squeeze your toes! I found these shoes and bought them and absolutely love them. I have been wearing them for two days and my feet feel great. I just purchased another pair, because shoe manufacturers always discontinue the shoes you love. I love them.

What happened?
The toebox is too large. I started wearing Altra in 2018 in the original footbed. All Altra styles fit perfectly. Then they started messing with everything. Between trying them on at REI and ordering styles directly from Altra, nothing fits anymore. I really need the zero drop and stability right now and am very frustrated at having to return yet another pair of Altra shoes.

Second round of Lone Peak 8 (Love the purple)
I purchased these shoes to do a walk in Italy. It's was the first walk I've done in which I did not get blisters. My feet felt so good the entire time. Upon returning home I purchased another pair!

Savior to my toes after a life squeezed into Nikes
I was a competitive sprinter for 8 years. This year I started to have chronic toe pain. I discovered it was from always wearing shoes with a pointy toe box, most often Nikes. These shoes saved me.

Absolute Superstar Shoe
I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in them and continued using them into my real life. I can't say enough about the quality, function, and fit!

Zero drop shoes are not for everyone
These are nice, just not for me! Severe calf pain from being zero drop I think- I don't have this problem with any other running shoes. These also don't have much cushion.

I have worn these for years
After wearing these for years with "zero" problems and loving them, I suddenly had problems with my last pair. They are now laced in a half circle at the base of the flap. Relaced the regular way and relief.

These are not water resistant!
I bought These because I was Looking for a good shoe to wear in Ireland, where it rains often. I wear Altras as my daily shoe, so I thought It best to stick with the same drop because of all the walking I will Be doing. I bought These dark blue and green shoes (not black as it's advertised). They're beautiful, fit great and look lovely on my feet-less bulky looking than my other pair. I let a small amount water sprinkle on my shoes to simulate a light rain for less than 30 seconds, probably more like 15 seconds. My toes were soaked. I will Definitely be walking around way more than that and my feet would be wet all day in these. I'm so disappointed! Great shoes if you aren't looking for shoes to keep you dry. I normally Wear either a 7.5 or 8, medium width. I needed 7.5 in these.

Wish they still made version 7
They claim it is basically the same as the 7 but it is just a bit different, I can't explain why but they don't feel as amazing on my feet as the last version.
